Let me see if I can explain the Worley thing. When he was really young he was asked to come in and fill in for Bray when he got hurt. He wasn't ready for it and he made a lot of mistakes. His way of fixing it was to become a "game manager" style quarterback, which basically boils down to the idea that "If I don't throw interceptions or fumble the ball then I did my job because I didn't do anything to help the opposing team win."
Generally this is a good thing but what happened in the back of his mind is that now he doesn't believe in his arm or his ability to put a football in a tight spot when he has to. The way to fix this is to come out in the South Alabama game in a 4 wide hurry up shotgun and tell him to throw the ball. Do not hand it off just so that the opposing defense can stack 7 or 8 in the box to stop Neal and Lane.
Let him throw the ball around 40 times in a game and have a good day as a Passer, not just as a member of the team. His problem is fixable because if he has a day like that, it will give him his confidence back as a man and a leader.
Butch Jones kept saying during camps that he wanted the veterans to step up and be leaders. Worley can be a good QB for this team but he has got to start having faith in his ability to throw the ball downfield.
My 2 cents.
