AJ played a heck of a game last night! If our offense would've helped out a little more and we won the game, no one would be talking bad about AJ! He played one heck of a game! I bet the majority of people bashing him know nothing about football except for how to read a score!

Why no one else realizes this is BEYOND me....

Because it's a lot easier to talk trash anonymously behind a keyboard about a 19 year old than to actually sit down and analyze what's going on. People don't like using their heads. That's why we have calculators.

Just watched the replay again to confirm, but Pig's block in the back on Dobbs' TD run was after Dobbs was past the defender, and it was completely unnecessary. Butch said on his coaches show that Pig was supposed to simply block the space like a basketball player, not use his hands to block the player.

I like Pig, even got my son one of his jerseys. He's part of our future and he's going to be special here. However, there are two games this year that can be said to be decided on a mistake if his, including this one. In both cases there other plays that the same can be said about, but that doesn't change the fact that if nothing else changed we would've won two games if he hadn't made those mistakes. I hope he learns from it and actually wins us games in the future.

Also, hat tip to AJ for dang near dismembering a Commy on the interception return. That was brutal and violent, and fun to watch.

Some really stupid comments in here. UT has several NFL talents on the team, so to say that only two players would start on top level teams is laughable. We have four NFL level OL, McCullers would start for anyone, and AJ would be a factor at any program in the SEC or country for that matter. UT does not lack talented players, they lack in talented depth. UT has individuals that can play with anybody at anytime. 7 or 8 talented individuals cannot make up for overall team talent.
McCullers is a novelty. He is big. That's about it.

AJ isn't surrounded by a vast amount of talent. I think he feels the pressure and plays aggressive to try to make up for that. Sometimes it works, other times we get burned.

I know some don't like him, but he is far from a novelty. He is huge, and he is very athletic for a player that size. The only thing in question is his heart and willingness to play hard all the time. That said, he will get a look. I would guarantee that he will be the roster of an NFL team running a 3-4 scheme next year. Its hard to find guys that can demand doubles on there shear size alone.

AJ is a good linebacker , but I think he is playing out of position . He really should be a DE. He would be a helluva DE . Put that guy on the end and tell him to get after the QB and it would be sacks galore

same thing i said. AJ would kill at DE. He's a good kid, but his lateral quickness and speed isn't enough for LB in the SEC. Not bashing......just is what it is!

People bashing on AJ don't really know anything about football or how to judge player talent.

He's a good player but he would earn himself lots more $$$ by staying another year because of some of the freshman talent that he'll have around him next season.

Next season AJ won't have to push himself so much and try to do so much because the talent around him will be much better and faster.

It's sad to see some kids try for the NFL $$$ too early and end up getting squat like Bray did and many others too.

In many cases 1 more year of college will make a huge difference on NFL draft day and they'll earn alot more $$$ by waiting and getting another year of college coaching and experience.

AJ needs to work on his game instead of running around strutting like a rooster and spinning the ball hoping everyone will look at him. Note to AJ Slow, you're not in the NFL nor will you every be. Practice squad at best but I doubt that.

wtf..
