A little fuel to the "Pac-10 vs. everyone else" fire

It would be interesting if Stanford and Oregon both win big in their last few games and finished 1, 2 at the end of the year. Not at all outside the realm of possibility either.

When the Pac10 wins 4 straight BCS championship games, I'll be ready to have this debate.

Long time listener, first time caller.

I think both Oregon & Stanford could beat a bad NFL team.....

The SEC's record in the BCS CG is extremely impressive.

That being said, not a single win came to a Pac-Ten team. In fact, an SEC and a Pac-10 team have never played each other in a BCS game. A future Pac-12 team (Utah) played an SEC team (Alabama) and won.

The Pac-10 is also the only conference in America to have a winning record against the SEC since the beginning of the BCS era.... 13 wins, 8 losses.

the pac-10 stinks. hard to tell if the furd or oregon are really this good or the rest of the pac-10 that bad.

It's definitely not the best conference in America this year but it's still nice to have 2 Top 5 BCS teams with Heisman finalists.

That's because the PAC 10 has had some difficulty getting teams not named USC into the BCS title game.

you assume that if they played in the big 12 (in particular) or the sec that they'd still be a top-5 team. i don't think so. the holiday bowl is likely to put a 10 win big-12 team against a 6 win pac-10 team. that says it all.

So you think it'd be easy for the superpower SEC to rack up a winning record against the lowly Pac-10 during the BCS era.

I'd like to see Auburn/Oregon in the BCS CG and Arky/Stanford in the Sugar but it's not gonna happen. Arkansas is probably going up against the Buckeyes.

At the start of the season I thought the Pac-10 was the second best conference in the nation. I quickly learned that the Pac-10 sucks. Stanford's best win is over a 4 loss Arizona team. They haven't beaten a single team that will finish the season ranked. Enough said.

Just to throw this out there. If Auburn wins saturday, that's 5 different teams from the SEC that have played in a BCS title game. If they win the title, the SEC will be 7-0 in title games, with 5 different winners. Nearly half of the conference.

Care to analyze the match ups?

There was that one really good matchup between the number one ranked Trogenz and the 88th ranked Razorbacks who were starting Midge Mustang at QB as a frosh. That's a definite indicator that the Pac10 is superior to the SEC.

Not to mention it was a close game until the fourth. Trojans should of ran them out early
