Blame goes round long before Hamilton became AD. AD is a figurehead in front of BOT that were enamored with the good ole boy Phildo who led us down this road. Without the politics involved for many years behind the scene with the BOT and Phildo to go along with an aging Doug Dickey that didn't want the fight before his retirement, THEN we wouldn't be here.
Hammy didn't have the equity or support of enough members of the BOT to remove the entrenched Phildo until he hit the Pearl homer. I give Hammy credit that he did get rid of that cancerous Phildo once he was able. The contracts have been a joke and Hammy should have had better oversight, BUT make no mistake, MH did not approve those contracts without the BOT signing off on them. If anything he needs to get out of bed with Sexton and hire better contract negotiators. He had no way of knowing Kiffin was going to do this to us - A perfect storm.

You act like Hamilton had an option but to get rid of Fulmer when he did. I assure you, he did not.

He was the one that wrote up the contract extension and the ridiculous buyout, yet you seem to infer that for some reason Hamilton wanted to get rid of Fulmer but was not able.

One year removed from one of the worst seasons in UT history and that kind of contract is awarded is just completely irresponsible.

I am not inferring getting rid of Phildo then as much as Hamilton is being told what to put into contracts. Hammy doesn't make those kind of contract decisions.
