Rumors abound Mike Sherman to be fired tomorrow. They realized what Hart and our administration need to. Coaches like Dooley and Sherman are in over there head in big time college football...

Word from my roommate who played at TAMU is the only way Sherman was being fired was if Smart was in the bag! We apparently ended up with the worst of Sabans disciples

Dumb post. Last I checked, Smart has not been a head coach yet, so we do not know how good or bad he is.

That was the most talented 6-6 team I've ever seen. When that is the case, then the head coach needs to go.

They have a great offensive line, strong stable of running backs, quality receivers, and a decent quarterback. Unfortunately, they also had a head coach who couldn't adjust to the changes the opponent made in the second half to stop or slow them down on offense. They were also hurt by a secondary that wasn't capable of absorbing DeRuyter's blitz-happy scheme when it failed to get to the quarterback.

I think they are what Florida was before Spurrier. The talent is all around them. All they need is the coach to take advantage of the opportunity a Texas A&M in the SEC affords.

Some really brilliant posters on here. Just attack the individual starting the thread. Attack, belittle, call into question their intelligence, ridicule them and make fun of them as people... sounds like our Washington,DC politicians during a campaign.:shakehead:

I don't think the op is implying we wanted Smart, just they beat us to the firing.

None of these former Saban assistants are any good. Jimbo is bad. Agaisnt Florida last week Florida St had more penalty yards than total offense with less than 2 minutes to go!! Florida St. was a big disappointment as they were picked 5th preseason. Muschamp is not only a bad coach he's a crazed wild man on the side line. Everyone was getting a win against Florida this year except us. Florida made a bowl game though.

I find it interesting everyone is ok with other schools firing their coaches. As soon as we start to examine if we should fire Dooley, alot of people start "circling the wagons",get irritated and make up their list of excuses. I wonder if people at other schools have the same attachment issues? We've made Dooley a rich man we dont owe him anything.
