Per Billy Liucci

A&M is now a member of THE nation's most prestigious and dominant league: The Southeastern Conference. A defining moment in Aggie history

Mike Slive just made it official. Other outlets reporting it now as well.

Welcome Aggies!!

Well, this sucks. Guess we'll see what happens if we don't get #14 for 2012 and we have to go to an ugly-looking temporary 8-game conference schedule.

Am I the only one that was kind of pulling for Texas A&M yesterday against OSU, already thinking of them as sort of SEC "brethren"?

So, is Auburn coming to the Eastern Division? If they did, would they just schedule Bama in place of a non-conference game since Bama's permanent Eastern Division opponent is UT?

Mizzou already said they are staying put. It'll have to be WVU or VT or some other team.

If we have to take them, WVU wouldn't be the worst thing ever (Louisville or the like would be). Keeps the divisions set, UT still plays Alabama every year, and all is good in Vol land.

I'm fine with that happening. Bring those scrubs into the East. If this whole expansion crap ends our annual Bama game I'll be pissed.
