A Name I Hadn't Thought of If Pearl Is Canned

Once we are on two years of scholarship reductions and no post season play and Pearl is suspended by the NCAA, then U.T. will fire Pearl, who will want to coach us with that mess looming over our program?
It is quiet easy to figure out what is happening. (1) Hamilton does NOT support Pearl.
If Hamilton fired Pearl when Pearl was under contract, then Pearl would get money for being fired. Hamlton is waiting until the NCAA announces the punishments and then Pearl will be fired for "Just Cause" then U.T. won't owe him any money.
The NCAA MUST MUST come down hard on Pearl!!! The other 119 college coaches are watching to see what the standard is if a coach lies to the NCAA.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I predict that the NCAA will do a 9 1/2 to U.T. (1) Pearl suspended for a year (2) We lose one scholarship for 2012 & 2013 recruiting season (3)
No Post season play for 2012 or 2113 (4) No t.v. for 2012...
No coach will want to coach U.T. when we have those sanctions. Once we are off of the sanction, we will need to hire one helluva coach to re-build the program and that will take several years.
I expect this to be our last post-season play for 7 or 8 years. Enjoy this season because it will be 2020 before we enjoy any tournament success again.
If anyone feels that the NCAA will accept these 8 SEC game suspensions, salary reduction and recruiting restrictions as the punishment for lying to the NCAA, you are fooling yourself.

Working without a contract now,Hamilton could fire him without cause!!! That blows your credibility from the start, crawl back under the rock I dropped on you!

Maybe someone who could actually teach these guys the game of basketball. They look terrible in the half court. No flow to the offense just chaos. I don't know what happened to this team from the early part of the season til now but whatever it was it's not good. They look like a totally different team now.

It's a shame if the kids are actually letting what happened to Pearl affect what they're doing on the court. That shouldn't be a convenient excuse to play like crap.

Bruce Pearl has lost over a million dollars, not able to recruit off campus for a yr and been suspended for 8 games. I think other coaches see what happens when you lie to the NCAA.

The NCAA wants schools and conferences to police themselves which is why we punished ourselves and the SEC punished us. The NCAA comes down especially hard when schools thumb their noses at them like USC did. The NCAA may come down harder on us but Im not expecting alot more to be done to Pearl and the program.

A lot of speculation....You really dont know what they will be thinking....Some more scantions will come...Too much money now days for NCAA...they're not interesting in crippling too badly where it effects revenue drasticlly...and believe you me, UT is a cash cow for the NCAA and they know it...Just saying!

Right! They are probably going to think that UT was too harsh on Pearl. They may actually order that his salary be reinstated. Probably will give us an additional scholarship since we unnecessarily banded our coaches from recruiting off campus---no chance that they will issue any more sanctions. You really should grasp some level of reality.
