Congrats, Lady Vols! I watched the first half before switching to the Army-Navy game. The announcers mentioned that NC Central’s coach had promised to buy his team ice cream if the scored 30 points and held UT to under 100. Even though they only met half of that goal, i hope he bought them ice cream anyway after that brutal beat down. I felt sorry for them.

Just god awful and ik they are injured but damn did they have try outs or something lol its highschool teams better than that.....hell i dont even think they compete in there conference this year.....

Their five best players were lost for the season due to injury. Regardless, these young women are getting their college educations paid for, so it's a pretty good deal for them if we look at the big picture. Plus, it had to be a pretty big thrill for them to play in our arena. It's all good!

Over 70% of their shots taken were threes (63 of 90).

I was just going to watch the first quarter and then got sucked in by the idea of seeing them break the team record for threes and then conference record and then the national record and the team scoring record and the most 3's made by a LV record and the...

In other words, this game could have been a boring scrimmage affair where the LVs won 90-50 but they turned into an epic scoring display.

Fan turnout was really good. This team is active and fun to watch and that's going to lure more fans back. Always something going on. Only pressing need yesterday was to fix the t-shirt missile launcher.

This "awful" team scored more than Samford-53, WCU-50, UT Martin-50
That makes them better than four teams we have already played
And I can't remember you posting about them being awful

Agreed. We were going to leave at halftime, but we got sucked in by the records and the shooting. Also, if what the Lady Vols did was so easy, why didn't LSU UNC or any of the other P4 teams do it?

Like someone above said, no matter the opponent, you've still got to make the shots. And boy did they! My section was in perpetual amazement when another, and Another, and ANOTHER three went through the nets. The buzz was fun and uplifting to everyone, so, no, it wasn't a waste of a schedule spot. Honestly, I think being there for that helped lift the spirits of a lot of people in that arena yesterday, and people really need SOMEthing to feel fun and light these days especially.

There's sure a lot of what I'm guessing are jealousy-inspired hate-posts about yesterday's game by fans of other teams around the internet.

They cannot stand all the attention Tennessee is getting, and I love that it's getting under their skin. 😲

Man, I’ve been doing a lot of defending on Twitter and Facebook! Of course, our game has been posted on a TON of social media platforms, rightfully so, but it’s also been met with a lot of criticism!

I didn’t realize how many people don’t like this style of basketball! They compared it to the reason why NBA viewership is going down….hoisting tons of 3s.
