Theres a lot more pressure to succeed in Florida than most places. I would think that anyone that takes that job is starting off one step in the grave.

I can't see them taking an up and coming coordinator.

The Florida job will draw major attention. I expect a hotshot OC or DC to get the job, maybe someone like Justin Wilcox but if they go for a head coach don't be surprised to see Stoops take a look. He's a good recruiter and would do well in fertile ground like Fla

Both times Foley has hired a football coach without previous head coaching experience, it has blown up in his face. There's no way he hires another coordinator.

Mark Stoops would never leave Kentucky

What makes you thinks Freeze would leave Ole Miss or Franklin Penn State? Rich Rod would probably jump at the chance, but he failed at Michigan and I'm not sure gator fans would like him.

Potentially getting 6 million per yr is a lot to turn but I really don't see Franklin or Freeze taking the job.

Here's a wildcard... Doc Holiday at Marshall

Were you a member of Scout or Rivals BC when Chump was hired? Anyway, 8yrGator who broke WM as HC a week before it was announced said, no one from Meyers era will be hired.

Freeze

Rich Rod

Franklin

I'm sure Big Game Bob gets a call.

Jim McElwain is a name to watch.

Freeze is from Oxford..don't know if he would really want to leave.

I say Rich Rod. Get Hal Mumme for OC (third in 3 years?) and the SMU DC and UF should be rockin' and rollin' in no time.

That would be a good hire.

That would be a good hire.

Fielded solid teams at CSU. His offensive units at Bama and Fresno were Top 25 but he's a prostyle ball control guy. Not sure that would fly with fans and money guys who want to see points. He wouldn't be s bad hire imo but he's a guy you call before a few others decline.

Hmmm, I like the McElwain idea. He's doing a good job at CSU. That program really trailed off in Lubick's last few years and when Fairchild was hired, but McElwain has restored some prominence in Fort Collins. I think he could do a good job and he's one I've been watching for a transition to a bigger job. Not sure it'll be UF.

At least Florida fans have something to look forward to.

Sighhhhhhhhhh

We blew it when we didn't hire Charlie Strong.

As to the current state of affairs, I would remind Mr. Foley that a key reason that Muschamp is due to be fired at this point is his irrational loyalty to Driskel. Irrational loyalty is a bad thing....

Don't tell that to UT fans

Statement from Dr.***hs:

I'm aware that the football program has had some rocky times recently, but I've been assured it's in good hands. I believe in taking an adequate amount of time to evaluate all personnel before making any decisions. I've always been a firm believer that football coaches should be given a minimum of five years to properly implement their goals.

Michigan did not give Rich Rod enough time. In his 3 years there, he improved the W-L record each year.

3-9
5-7
7-6

Politics came into play there.
