A question about Basilio's top seven from today's show

Temple has a worse all-time record than Eastern Michigan, Tulane, and New Mexico. Al Golden took them to two straight 8+ win seasons, their first consecutive winning seasons in 30+ years. Tennessee could do far worse than Golden.

And the stuff about "he sucks at Miami" is completely idiotic. Did you miss the part where Miami is staring down the barrel of a potential death penalty?

Miami doesn't have any major sanctions right now. So it shouldn't affect the product on the field currently.

TB sounded like he woke up on the wrong side of the log this morning.

Or was it just me?

He DOES suck at Miami...He has more talent on that team than a lot of SEC teams do and he hasn't done squat with them...He is not a good coach and to say he did great things at Temple, Well take a look at who Temple played in the years he was there...Big spoiler, It wasn't even on Big East standards.

Basilio has always been nuts, but that list is crazy even by his low standards.

I would take Patterson, Strong or Fisher. But the other four....no thanks!

Al Golden...I just dont see it.
+1. If Miami was killing it this year, I'd probably have a different opinion about Golden. They're not, so I don't. I don't understand the hating on Strong. Damn good SEC DC at UF. I kind of think he's similar to Sumlin or Lovie, for different reasons respectively. Sumlin had a winning record, but it wasn't all the long of one. Before his time at UH, he was under Bob Stoops for a while. In the same regard, Strong has turned his team around. No, they aren't BCS champs already, cause Louisville is not that kind of program. Having them at the top of the Big East is still a big accomplishment.

As for Lovie Smith, he is a quiet but solid defensive minded coach. I think Strong would be only short of Gruden in terms of recruiting.

Sure as heck affects recruiting. Also, Miami's product on the field before Golden was vomit-inducing at times.

And yet Shannon was winning more games before Golden got there. Odd huh?

We've already had a Dooley. I don't want another guy with a bunch of losses and excuses (remember the "oh you can't win at La Tech" crowd when Dooley was hired?)
