Unbelievably though, Hawaii vs. La Tech is a conference game. La Tech is now in the WAC.

wow. I did not know that. I just knew i heard about La Tech getting to fly to Hawaii every other year. Probably should have paid more attention and I would have picked up on that.

As soon as I posted that I double checked it just to be sure. It is completely ridiculous that they joined the WAC. The closest schools to La Tech are New Mexico State and Utah State. Their closest conference road game is probably 500-600 miles away.

Yeah it's funny the U was no where around in the 90's during their probation days...it'll be nice smacking those guys around the next couple yrs.:eek:lol:
Yeah, that'll really of make up for the last two decades of a$$beatings. My favorite was the Sugar Bowl after the 2000 season, where the U left a bunch of Gator filth laying in pools of their own blood on Bourbon Street, then hammered them two nights later in the Superdome. The 2002 annihilation in the Swamp was nice, too. The classic 30-4 beatdown in 1987 was fun. Coming from about 100 points behind with Brock Berlin at QB in 2003 felt good.

I guess if Memphis can be the Western Division of the NBA and the Braves were in the West to in the early nineties in baseball, college can do the same!

Stat boy: I'm pretty sure it was 31-4. It must have been the oddity of the score for me to recall it.

When was Florida's last cold game? That Cuse game would have been indoors. The coldest team UF plays is UK, and that game has been in September (except this year in Oct.) since 1992. Therefore, UF's coldest game since the early 1990s has been every other year at Vandy on the first Saturday of November. Needless to say, they've done a heckuva job keeping a warm team warm.

In fairness, UF stands to lose $$$ whenever they play the U on the road (6 games at the Swamp instead of 7), and UF doesn't need the U to get a sell-out. That and usually losing the game, of course, are reasons to avoid the Canes.

They play next year at UF, but I'm pretty sure the game in Miami won't be for a few years.
