Had, doesn't anymore. He's lost a lot of people and IMO wouldn't get back to that level without probably making final fours, which let's be honest seems quite unlikely.

Success for a Tennessee basketball coach is consistent tourney appearances, and once in awhile making some noise. Martin could make the next 4 tournaments, get bounced in round 1 twice, and win a game twice....but he would have plenty of people calling for his head still IMO.

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to bash Dobbs. He's got a really high ceiling. He just wasn't ready to start his first year. Not many QBs are in the SEC.

I can buy that. I guess I'm just not quite as sold on Butch as everyone else. We should know a hell of a lot more after this year.

People do want to see a team that will win, they also will back a team that gives tremendous effort. While Martin lacks sportsmanship and flare, he also lacks players like Dane Bradshaw and Skylar McBee, though I think Armani Moore could be that if Martin played him more, maybe Richardson is that, but so much more athletic that he doesn't look like it's tremendous effort. Scrappy, I guess.

If he's winning final fours I can't guarantee people would go, but at least they'd shut up. :p

I don't hate Bruce. I appreciate what he did on the court. I supported him to the very end, even wrote Cheek about the poor handling of the situation. He was the coach then, he's not the coach now. It's poor form to treat the current coach the way he's getting treated whether he deserves it or not.

A sponsor for one of the radio shows put up a $500 Visa gift card on whether or not Martin would get T'd up versus USCe. Most will find it funny I guess.

They have a facebook site. Hats are cool and they'll be making an orange one soon.

I was there too and did the VIP. Even won a KOL t-shirt in the raffle. The best part though was the 20 something stripper chick in front of us grinding on some 60 year old sugar daddy. What a sight to see (for sore eyes). I still can't get that image out of my mind.
