Don't blame you one bit. Them Gruden threads were good times. That when I got my start on VN. Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean anything.

I have been around a while but the Gruden threads were the most fun I have had on Volnation... I made many new friends, some I see once in a while in here, some in the recruiting threads

I think Butch has done a lot of good things to excite the fan base and I believe he will do good things on the field (given enough time)... a lot depends on how this year goes

If we go 6-6 then it will take at least four years maybe five to get close to being competitive in the SEC...if we go 8-4 we may do it in two more....what I am saying is if we go 8-4 this year, we will compete for the SEC by year three

I think we (should) beat:

Austin peay
Western KY
South Alabama
Missouri
Auburn
Vandy
Kentucky

That gives us seven. Then if we can beat someone we shouldn't like a SC, GA, or a FL. (I think Bama would be asking a lot), we could be looking at 8 n 4.

The only thing Coast, is we should have more talent than all except Auburn and I think we're equal to them plus we get them at home. I'm hoping our coaches are better than theirs.

I would call us above with Missoui in talent but we are playing there and that would give them a boost .....could be a toss up. As for Auburn they have more talent that us (just barley) but we catch them here , we have the edge....
