why does a professional athlete, in excellent physical condition, need "bodyguards"? c'mon, call them what they are, a "posse". The Pac Man from the video game is a bigger international celebrity than Adam Jones will ever be.

correct all the way around

Well that solves it. Case closed.

The theory of the bodyguards being there to protect him from trouble falls apart with him being at a strip club at 4 in the morning with $81,000. They are around to keep anyone from physically harming him, not to prevent him from getting into trouble.

Wrong. They are there to keep him out of trouble. The Titans strongly recommended he employ such company after the many incidents during his rookie season. I never said the case was closed. It's not closed. There's not much evidence to conclude that he did anything wrong, however.

He needs people to keep crazy profiteering leeches off him like the nutjob that claimed he spit on her.

This woman attacked Pac man?

No. She claimed to employees of the bar and several police officers that someone spit on her. When prompted for an identification, she said she didn't know who had done the spitting. Later, she learned that Pac Man had been present. She changed her story to indicate Pac Man as the spitter. On of this woman's friends actually confirmed that Pac Man was definitely not involved. So basically, something bad happened to her and when she learned she might be able to profit, she went after Pac Man. His prior transgressions have made him an easy target.

So bodyguards protect him from rumors and false accusations. I always thought bodyguards were primarily for physical protection.

They are normally. In this case, they are asked to do more. They're not a legal team, they are just there to keep trouble makers away from Pac Man. Thus, crazy spitoon woman never made it near Pac Man. She had no interaction with him at all that night. She didn't even realize he was there until after she had reported the incident.

If his bodyguards are hired to keep him away from trouble. They must have been hired from a temp agency.

Wonder if it ever occurred to any of them to say "Hey man. I've got an idea . . . let's not be in a strip club at 4 a.m. with $81,000 cash."

If Adam had hired Kevin Nash as his bodyguard, this would have never happened. You never saw Shawn Michaels getting in this kind of trouble when Big Daddy Cool was around.

Yeah, but if he had hired Nash, Scott Hall surely would have tagged along and they would have had to spend the $81,000 on the bar tab.
