A "Way to Early" look at next years schedule.

Passing game will be better
Running game will be slightly worse
Team speed significantly better

I wouldn't count on our running game being worse. Hurd can come in and have an immediate impact as the RB position is the easiest for freshman to acclimate to. Also, our line has been average for the most part for the last few years, so replacing them all isn't neccesarily a tragedy.

No such thing as an easy SEC Schedule when you have to replace the entire O-line and probably the entire defensive front seven. We'll have a struggle to win 6 next year. I hope I'm wrong, but we have some serious competition in our conference, and getting back to the top won't happen overnight.

GBO!

I actually believe we are better off with out our front seven this year. We have more talent at the LB and DL position this year. So I don't believe we take a step back in that aspect.

This. From all reports the backups are more aggressive than our starters

With the schedules we have year in and out it's tough to win 6-6. We need to take a page out of USCjr and Vandy book and play a easier non-conference schedule because our conference schedule is tough enough. The administration will be why this program won't rise.

I get flamed everytime I say it, but buying out the OU game would be the best thing for us. We can't afford another losing season. Just think if we had played a cupcake instead of OR this year. We'd be bowling, extra practices, more exposure for recruiting, etc. no one cares who you played OOC unless you beat them.

Utah St is a Sr laden team and won't be as good next year. They lose 7 starters on each side of the ball plus 2 more in the two deep on O and 3 on D.

They won't be a sure bet but will be rebuilding.

AJ will be back. Maggitt will as well. Weatherd is the number one JUCO LB. The LBs also get Bates, Mouhon and Grant. We will have much better LBs.

Miller had an epic game with 4.5 sacks against Kaintuck, but those were his first sacks of the whole year. Lambert is much, much better than any end we had this year. We get Vickers, Brown, Jaylen Miller, Henderson, Hendrix, Barnett.... We lose McCullers and Hood of thes DTs. Saulsberry was playing as well as anyone before he went out. He will be back, and Carr will be back. Williams is a huge upgrade over Hood. That doesn't include Thomas, Mixon, and Mosley. We will be much better at DT. McCullers did very little this year.

I am not even mentioning the secondary. We have Moseley, Payne, McDowell, Gaulden, Kelly, both Berrys, even Wharton coming in, all of whom would be playing instead of at least Toney, and probably Coleman. We lose no one in the secondary, but add all these guys. The defense will have twice as many players capable of playing next year.

Tennessee's defense will be a whole new animal next year. We will be much improved.

This is exactly right!

Not saying we win a NC, but if can develop a passing game, we might surprise alot of people!:rock:

GO VOLS!!!

I think we'll be a lot like Ole Miss was this season. Young, but extremely talented. I think the talent meshes one game especially and we upset someone much like Ole miss did to LSU this season. JMO. 6-7 wins.

I can see 6-6 to 7-5. Another 5-7 year and I don't see how we will have made any progress. There's 6 wins on that schedule.

I'm guessing you are talking about the assumption there will be improvement?

WR corps will still be young. The RB's will be younger and less experienced and we don't know how soon the athletic talent will convert to performance. Still questions at TE. Still questions at QB.

New questions at kicker and punter.

Brand new front 4 on D. With most of the D front 7 two deep being new players.

The secondary "should" be improved.

There are so many unknowns right now that any prediction is nothing much more than a pure guess. The safe bet is 5-7 with 6-6 being possible with MUCH better coaching and development than we saw in '13.

WR core will return north pig and croom all with solid experience. Expect pig and north to play like upperclassmen as they were forced to grow up quick this year and responded well. Add 5 star stud Josh "water" Malone and juco beast Von Pearson and this makes for a very talented well rounded group. Will have a deeper 6 man rotation than we have had in awhile.

As for the D front we cant be sure but new could be better than the production we got from this front 7. No pass rush (unless we r playing kentucky) and not like they were spectacular against the run. Couldn't really get too much worse.

No doubt in my mind this secondary will be much improved next season. Cameron Sutton is a star in the making and Coleman is a solid corner on the other side and if one of the frosh can beat him out for that spot we should have a nasty duo at corner and would more than likely move Coleman into the nickel spot either way i think its safe to say as long as jeron tony isn't playing the nickel we should be better off. As for the safety position i like brain Randolph as a leader of the secondary and McNeil has a lot of raw talent but seems to miss a lot of tackles and isn't the best in coverage i look for a frosh to push him for the starting free safety job but if he can work on those weaknesses he has the ability to be a solid safety.

Ya kicker and punter are question marks but lets hope the university of Tennessee and butch jones can find a competent kicker

I'll be ok with it but if we go 5-7 next season all hell will break loose.

Be prepared for another 4 or 5 win season. I would say definite wins are UTC, UK and Ark St, probable wins are Ut St and Vandy, hopefull wins are Fla, Ole Miss, UGA and USC and losses are Bama, OU and Mizzou.
