I'm not really sure where i stand on the whole Pearl situation. I mean Pearl has done great things here, but if we do get hit hard with sanctions, it's time for him to go, end of story... But what if UT and Pearl neither one really get hit hard, (I know not likely) then should Pearl stay as our coach. I'm not really sure what my opinion on this would be either.

If Pearl gets banned from coaching by the NCAA for a year, he still ought to be able to draw up game plans and conduct practice. Those are strengths that would be hard to replace given his success against ranked teams. I say keep Pearl no matter what. He's that good.

Where do you get that? If he gets suspended for a year, he won't be around the program at all.

Does a game suspension mean he cannot conduct practice? Would the NCAA requirements be the same as they were for the SEC game ban?

In the Air force (I served for 37 yrs), we defined integrity as doing the right thing, whether or not someone was watching. Pearl has shown himself to be a man totally lacking in integrity. We should fire him forthwith. If we keep him, we are demonstrating our willingness to tolerate any behavior as long as he wins. If I was the parent of a prospect, I would not let a proven liar into my house to recruit my son, much less allow my son to play for him. Would you trust anything the man says?

I think a one year suspension would be a without pay no contact with anyone associated with the school type suspension. No?

Get your panties out of a wad. Are you really going to sit here and tell VolNation that you have never once lied in your lifetime?

thats the only thing that sets him apart right now. If you werent gonna let your son play for a liar, your son probably wouldnt be playing college basketball.

If you put that standard on a vast majority of coaches who have to compete for top players, all of them would be suspended. They just don't get caught. Period.

Pearl has lied and cheated more than once...

Thats not the point. The fact that the man has lied only means he wants to win. He was cutting corners and got caught. End of story. It has nothing to do with the mans integrity. For someone to say they wouldnt let their son play for CBP because he has committed NCAA violations is a load of garbage. BP cares more about the kids on his team then most will ever know. Current and former players can prove that.

Lying has nothing to do with a man's integrity? Right.

So, if Pearl killed Calipari, so he could has easy competition, and win more, it would be okay? Because he just wants to win.

Hopefully the people crucifying Pearl aren't same ones that have been defending Vick. Would be backwards as ****.

The government lies to you regularly. Your dad probably cheated on your mom at some point. You've probably dated a girl that's cheated on you. You've probably dated a girl you've cheated on. Probably cheated on tests. And so on.

Lying and cheating is a way of life and It's how this great nation has been built. I mean seriously... Bill Clinton is the best president of my lifetime and he's done all of those things. Cheated on his wife, fudged numbers and had banks give loans to people that could never afford to pay it back.

Oooooh Amerrrrica, my home and native land!

People can attack Pearl all they want. He's no different than any other American though.

For what it's worth... Tennessee's career postseason record is 16-19. Burce Pearl accounts for half of this wins(8-5) and it only took him 5 years.

I'm ready to push him out the door though. I enjoyed making the postseason 4 times in the past 15 seasons prior to his arrival. Making the tournament 6 times in 6 seasons is stupid. No thanks!

Sure, why not?

Stallworth killed someone and got a month.

Plaxico burress shot himself and got 2 years.

Life.

And if they got caught, most of them would be fired too.
