What if Worley had not gotten hurt, and was still at the helm going into the Vandy game? Do we win?

What if he started at FL??

What if we don't have the interference call at the end of the GA game, or Pig doesn't fumble in OT?

What if Dobbs completes just 4 more passes against Vandy?

And what if CBJ and staff really did know what they were doing by going with Worley to start and Peterman as backup, with the intention of red shirting both Dobbs and Ferguson?

Just wondering..... what if?

Flame away in the great Volnation tradition! :)

You just had to sneak in that jab at CBJ at the end there, didn't you?

(1) What if Bray were the starting Q.B. and he responded to bUTch's coaching?

(2) What if Pig had not juggled the ball on the sideline catch against Vandy?

(3) What if Pig's arms were longer and his hands were larger and he hit the pylon and we won the game against UGA instead of the ref's ruling a fumble?

(4) What if Bray were the starting q.b. against Florida this season and not Peterman or Worley?

(5) What if Palardy had passed the ball to the tight end for a t.d. on the fake kick against Vandy?

(6) What if Bryce Petty were our q.b.?

(7) What if Tahj Boyd were our q.b.?

Bray would have been suspended just like Mo Couch goober!

My point was that "IF" only a couple of key things or plays go right this season, or if we have just a tiny bit of luck......

I think once we get some studs on the roster, some of this "bad luck" starts going our way, jmo.

Why do you make this post? You can't live your life always wondering about the if's, it will drive you crazy. What about just asking questions about the future and things are still going to happen and things you can maybe actually control. The past happened. It's done. No matter how many if's you ask, it won't change. It is what it is.

Re-Read it dummy, it was a compliment! :banghead2:

How many people were screaming for Dobbs all year?

.

Sounds to me like you were saying "What if the coaches knew what they were doing?"

Sorry for misinterpreting.

Yes they did, as opposed to every thread that is calling for most of football staff to be fired.

What if Butch and Co. could actually coach players up and inspire them to overachieve, even just a little bit?

What if Wilcox was still on the coaching staff last year....Right now we'd be wondering how this team went from 9 wins last year to 3 this year.

You mean like beating #10 SC when Worley didn't have a broken thumb!

.

How much mileage doe Butch get off of one extremely lucky win? Bottom line is we sucked this year and got worse, not better, as the season went along. We couldn't even beat Vandy at home in a game in which we were favored!!! No lucky win over USCe can make up for that !!!

The what if season was last year and the what if was if Dooley had not hired sal...

The only what if I see for this season is what if we improved from a position to position over the course of the season?

2012 was supposed to be a good season by all of our predictions.

(1) We had a good roster on defense.

(2) We had a good corps of receivers.

(3) We didn't have Oregon on the schedule.

However;

(1) The defense was decimated by Sal.

(2) Da Rick was kicked off the team.

(3) Players quit on Dooley.

(4) Dooley couldn't coach. For an example: Watch the Missouri o/t game.

2012 was supposed to be a season that we had a winning record an make it to a bowl game, but too many other factors came in to play an prevented it.

No flames from me... I have perspective. It is truly a season where a hand full of plays and an injury resulted in the record we have and 7-5. Just a couple if defensive stops and we win 2 more. We are close but all everybody wants to do is bi*%h

And I don't mean fans can't complain about play calling or critique this or that. It's the while " coaches suck fire them, players suck lets abuse them" attitude that has taken over this whole forum

A healthy Worley and North and you beat Vandy by two touchdowns - It reminds me of when Bray and Hunter went down - the team was dramatically weakened - and the results - not so good. In all reality any team that loses their number 1 qb and number 1 receiver will struggle.

Add to that - Dobbs errant throwing and interceptions - which not only killed us at the time but caused the coaches to quit throwing it down the field and not a surprise we struggled.

What if Dooley had beaten LSU?

What if Dooley had beaten Vandy last year?

What if Fulmer had been fired in 2005 and UT had hired Saban?

No flames here in answer to your what ifs...

Yes.

No, we did not have a winning identity til JW came off the bench to rally the team; he was a different QB from then on. Also, FL DLine was healthy and just dominated the game; tough situation to get your first start; I think CBJ desperately needed the team to establish an identity and thus his decision. I do not think it unfolded the way he thought.

We are at least 6-6 or 7-5 (see first answer).

Yeah, what if... QB played like the 1st AU possession.

Facts: JW is the best game mgr and has talent. RF travelled to FL and later broke his leg; otherwise it seems JD would be a redshirt. CBJ knows what he has; both FR can be the starter depending on time and chance.
