A win on NYEve...

Well I wish there was a way to measure how the game affects recruiting but there isn't. Do you guys remember run of the mill bowl wins of other SEC teams? Did Alabama losing last year to Utah hurt their recruiting? I realize a win is big, but I think it is more for the guys on the roster right now and the fan base than possible recruits.

I agree with bignewt a win will be great and build excitement for all involved, but it will not make or break this class. Most players UT is after are looking at the future of this program. This game may actually help in an odd way if we lose, because it would show our shortages at O-line, LB, and lack of depth on STs.

Kiffin and co. are great recruiters and will be ready to spin the outcome of this game either way. I just don't see recruits baseing their decision on this game.
