Aaron Douglas arrested last night for DUI

He should get an automatic bid to the Betty Ford Treatment bowl. Not for drinking only but good grief all of it.

Looks like he did what Dooley calls "making a critical mistake late in the game. If you drink and drive in the State of Tennessee, you will go to jail."

just read on TOS that Aaron Douglas was arrested last night for DUI...I'm assuming it was in Knoxville. just relaying the info...hate to see anyone get in trouble with the law...GBO!

Yeah, you just hate to see anyone getting into trouble with the law.

But I LOVE this. He's Saban's problem now!

Maybe it'll scare him straight. DUIs are pretty terrible experiences

Feel bad for his parents

Agree with you. Also, have to admit I'm surprised so many can find joy in a young man being in trouble. DUIs are a big deal...I get it. Rejoycing in the fact this kid got arresested (just because he left our football team) is another matter. I'll no doubt get called out for this post but if it makes at least one person reconsider their position it's a victory. Merry Christmas...God Bless our country, your family and the Vols!

If anyone is interested, here's the Tennessee statute on DUI and "Refusal". You get hit harder for Refusal than actually failing a DUI in most instances.

Alcohol or Drug Content Blood. 55-10-406

Yes Sir you are correct...he was charged with Violation of Implied Consent Law. But, on the other hand, if you take a Field Sobriety Test and take a Blood or Breath Test, whichever is offered, you are also helping in proving the State's case against you...the main thing is, don't put yourself in that position...GBO!

Actually, most DUI lawyers will tell you to refuse. I can't take joy in this because I see it as another kid wasting a god given talent. I am just happy he got caught before he hurt or killed himself or worse yet, another innocent person. The one thing out of this that does make me proud is the fact that Dooley went against popular opinion on this and it seems, yet again, he was right.

Agree...GBO!

Not in CA, they can do a forced blood draw and still take your license for a year

I am sorry to say that I got a reckless conviction some 17 years ago. I was cooperative with the officer and on the way to the station he suggested I not consent.

Absolutely. If he got hit with a DUI, it means he failed the field sobriety test, regardless of his refusal on the blood/breath test. Either way, it probably hasn't been the greatest few days for AD and his family.

Feel bad for his family. What a waste of talent. This young man obviously needs some serious professional help...& NOW.

Bammer's problem now, lol. A criminal record should help boost his rap career though

:twocents: His new criminal record came just in the nick of time. It was almost like he would be an outsider down there in Tusk Are Looser next year. He'll fit in much better with the Bammer Bubbas now. He is a victim of his own choices. He chose to leave Tennessee. He chose to change to Bamma and he chose to be a drunken driver. All bad, but he made them.
