Aaron Hernandez's Home Searched After Killing

Obviously he's innocent until proven guilty, but the crowd of people outside the courthouse chanting "Innocent, innocent!" and cheering as his prison van went by is mind boggling. It sure looks like Hernandez committed at least the one murder, and who knows what else may come to light over the next few days or weeks.

Does Urban Meyer have any responsibility concerning Aaron's behavior? Was he able to get away with "murder" while at Florida? And are we talking about a program that sacrificed character for wins which caused the program to be totally out of control? Just a question.

No more than Phil Fulmer is responsible for teaching his football players to get liquored up, get behind the wheel and kill innocent motorists and pedestrians.

Aaron Hernandez is responsible for his own actions, not the guy who coached him in college over 5 years ago.

I knew that was coming, but I don't know that the guys you are referring to were in constant trouble with known gun and drug issues while playing on Saturdays.

Not sure what difference that makes.

A college coach shouldn't be held responsible for one of his former players jaywalking, let alone killing someone.

I'm not holding anyone but Hernandez responsible, but it's possible Urban could have made a difference had he handled that whole thing differently.
With his run of arrests and letting guys come back like nothing happened, it seems as if the Hernandez isn't one that felt he would have any repurcussions for his actions. Urban let them get away with so much stuff during his run, it's not comparable to another SEC school.
Great coach. Fake man.

Pretty sure UGA had as many, if not more players arrested than UF between 2005-2010.

Hernandez was suspended for smoking weed at UF...he failed multiple drug tests. There were also whispers about his circle of friends in Bristol, CT after his father died...gang ties and whatnot.

And I agree with you about Meyer. There were rumors I won't mention about why he left Gainesville, and it had nothing to do with Nick Saban waxing that a$$ in the '09 SECCG.

Clay Travis said that Fla had 31 players arrested during Meyer's tenure. I don't know how factual that is or not. If it is true, Meyer would've won the Fulmer Cup hands down.

Odin Lloyd Sent His Sister An Ominous Text Message Minutes Before He Was Murdered

A handful of text messages were presented as key pieces of evidence against Aaron Hernandez at his arraignment yesterday.

According to the prosecution's story, 27-year-old Odin Lloyd was picked up from his house at 2:30 a.m., driven to a remote part of an industrial park, and murdered by Aaron Hernandez and two associates at around 3:30 a.m.

Minutes before the alleged murder took place, Lloyd had this ominous text message conversation with his sister:

Odin Lloyd (3:07 a.m.): "Did you see who I am with?"

[no response]

Odin Lloyd (3:11 a.m.): "Hello?"

Sister (3:19 a.m.): "My was phone dead. Who?"

Odin Lloyd (3:22 a.m.): "NFL."

Odin Lloyd (3:23 a.m.): "Just so you know."

Lloyd's sister saw him leave the house with Hernandez and two other men at 2:30 a.m., the prosecution says.

The prosecution says Lloyd was murdered between 3:23 and 3:27, and that workers in a nearby plant heard gunshots.

He was 27.
