In regards to Brooklynn, I think it’s very clear what kind of player we are getting. I’ve watched her play about 4-5 times and all the evals ring true. At the same time, I always thought her highlight films were misleading.

She is a jet-quick PG with a solid handle. I think she can be a menace on the defensive side of the ball. I think with our roster, she was an absolute must get. Plugs in directly to the most glaring hole on our depth chart. And most importantly, she chose to be a Lady Vol!

However, those expecting the second-coming of Bobbitt need to temper expectations. Bobbitt was so effective despite her size because she became a dead-eye shooter from deep. I would say ATM that is BK’s biggest area for improvement. But I’m sure that she and Kellie know that as well and don’t need a bunch of anonymous keyboard warriors criticizing her game.

Good news is she decided to jump on board despite a lot of the chatter on this forum, and she’ll have two years behind Jordan to acclimate to college ball. She’s got attributes that our roster and this 2021 class was sorely missing, and if there’s one thing I’m confident can be improved on in b-ball, it’s a jump shot. I’m encouraged by her HS percentages in that regard.

Glad to have her in orange. :)

Puckett and Striplin will be the deciding factors in many future Lady Vol wins....Each will have their time to shine, and each will lead the team in scoring in numerous games...So let it be written, so let it be done.

Coach, now that Lawson is at Duke, I'm worried about her acquiring some of our commitments....She is currently the competition and from what I have seen, anything goes in recruiting.

I do hope the surprise you speak of is a positive one...

Our present commitments are solid
( I do hope/wish people would back off of one of them though)
and if I am right about this, "positive" is definitely the appropriate word

1. by current you mean the 2021s?

2 by back off you mean retract their scholarship or you mean not be so critical?

3. Positive news? 🤔😏

1. Yes, 2021's:
BTW at war games Puckett went off
She averaged 17pts, 9 rebs, 3 ast, 2 blks for the tourney and in her last game last game she had 26pts, 8 rebs and was 5/6 for 3’s....good defense as well....I am planning on making the trip to Atl for their next tourney on the 21-23rd



2. I mean this site was getting rough on Miles,,,Parents/players/coaches consider,,,if they are rough on one they could have the propensity to be rough on all of them and this site IS monitored by the parents and families of our recruits...I just wish posters would consider this

3. I am waiting on more information, but I think UT might be climbing in on another 2021 top 100 recruit's list of potential colleges....I cannot say this for sure, but ;) we'll see

thank you! I just wanted clarification on #2 because I didn’t want someBody to think I wish we would back off turn into he doesn’t like this signee or something... that’s what I thought you meant !

Coach Jumper you and these drops of information I hope you bring some more good news our way ! I would never hold you to something like that but I understand from a credibility stand point why you don’t mention anymore lol

I am really looking forward to the trip. My daughter lives in Atlanta so I can visit her while there (she is pregnant with her first child (due in Nov).

I will shoot some phone video and take some pics while there and of course get stats....Yes, my credibility took a punch when Morasha made her last second decision and got a boost when Brooklynn's people steered me right. This info is a "personal feeling" based on a happening at this time and I have to wait for some confirmation that she is indeed interested in UT.

speaking of stats...Striplin's numbers were pretty good also (Her week's high of 22 and 12 rebounds. Averaged 14 and 10).

I understand that the coach is trying to get a little more PT for players who are not yet signed so the girls may not get as much PT in the next few tourneys. That is a sign of a good coach!,,one that considers all of his players, not just boosting the top tier,,,,Love the guy already.

Coach you've really got me curious who might be our potential commit in waiting....I have no idea whom it might be.....Tall, short, in between?

Great you will get to see your daughter...This is good....

Nice! It’s all good... trust me I know 17-18 year olds because I coach them and they make decisions they make for whatever reason lol... I have been sitting in signing room thinking I know where they are going and they do a 180 lol

So tell me this is it a guard or a post that may be interested... I just am excited for more good news!

Most importantly I am glad you’re getting to see your daughter and I pray her a good pregnancy and a healthy baby!

give me the day and If I don't/do get some sort of confirmation, I will say no/so.
I need to let this one play out a little more as I have no rapport with her personally like the others, nor confirmed knowledgeable contact..also, I am trying to not be so personally involved like I was with the others bc the board started a whole thread to get me to stop.

Coach, unless the staff may move on from a current commitment, why would they be interested in another 21 given a roster so full as to be limiting for 22 unless that player is an elite difference maker? By saying top 100, that doesn’t seem the case. Curious for your thoughts.

Hmmm...Hollingshead is the only remaining player on our recruiting board that I know of. I think she is a Miss State lean ATM, but she's definitely a take if she wants to come to Knoxville.
