About UGA.....

The biggest worry about a game later against Troy is that someone gets hurt for the season i.e. Chuck Webb.
No game is a breather with a possible injury.

There have been a few tragic plays in UT history, that was certainly a top-5 when Webb got hurt playing a cupcake and was lost for the season.

Another that comes to mind is when QB T Robinson went down against Ala - never the same.

I may show my age here, but I would love for us to commit to running the ball more. Especially since our pass protection is suspect at best. Teams that do that tend to win more games. Nothing is wrong with 2-3 yard gains on 1st and 2nd downs.

I don't disagree with the OP, I'm just surprised it came from Fade.

This.

I don't know if we will win, but I think we give them all they can handle and are in it in the 4th quarter. Reasons?

1. The bye week will help the Oline tremendously as they can do a ton of film study and work on chemistry, schemes, and fundamentals. I don't think we see that performance from last night any more this season.

2. Hopefully we get Wolfe back at bare minimum, and that opens up another option in the passing game.

3. Our D is playing very well and I don't think UGA has enough offensively to control the game on our D. Gurley, Chubb and co. will get their yards but I don't think they will take over the game like they did against Clemson. I've been impressed with Obrien, jordan W, and Owen W in the trenches. They are more than holding their own. If we can force alot of 3rd downs and make Mason beat us with his arm, I think we will be fine.

4. After Norman, these young pups won't be intimidated between the hedges.

Anyone else subscribe to this line of thinking?

Sounds about right. Plus I hope Von Pearson and Saulsberry will be back then. I think Pearson can be out best receiver. Saulsberry will help our defense even more. This week off will help.

Dirty play by Cornelius Bennett.

9 men in the box to stop Gurley. Cam and Williams/Mosley on islands to defend depleted receiving corp.

We need to run and pass block like the last 20 minutes of OK game and keep making progress on special teams...especially returns.

We're gonna sting them with the Big Orange Swarm!!!!!
I think two of our best receivers should be back for this game.

Pretty much agree with everything here. As for point #4, I'm extremely glad they got a big time road game under their belts before starting SEC play.

I not only
Think we can beat UGA, I think we can hold them under 20 points, and win the game with a score close to 24-17.

I like Tennessee in this game as it stands right now. I like UT's defense better than UGA's, I think UT can win a fairly high scoring game. Of course, UT has to contain Gurley and not lose track of UGA's passing game while trying to contain him. Worley is playing well, UT has solid receivers. 31-27, UT.

I agree with playing a game on the road before we start SEC play. But playing at Oregon and Oklahoma the last two years. lol In a year or two when we are real good. Yeah we can do that. But with a young team when we are trying to get to a bowl game is rough. Unlike teams like Miss St playing nobody their first three games.

1. Our defense is "Calm Like a Bomb" nasty dangerous and on behalf of John Jancek to his VolNation haters on here...

2. I don't see another team on our schedule that will have a pass rush as nasty as what we faced last night. That isn't saying we won't see some real good ones but not as lethal as OU's is this year.

3. As this season goes on our O-line will gel as a unit. After all...SEC play is what matters and that game was a good teaching tool and measuring stick for this unit and this staff will get it figured out.

4. After the showing last night by the SEC East...the race looks wide open and not one sided. Kentucky is better, Georgia/South Carolina are not as scary looking as preseason predictions indicated, the Commies are trying hard and have succeeded to go back to irrelevance, and finally Mizzu and Florida look average.

5. Once VP and Wolf return our offense is going to be an SEC East Defenses' nightmare. In the East our WR/TE corp is the best in the division as a complete unit.

6. Justin Worley....one word WARRIOR! This young man's comments after the game shows his faith in his mates, this staff, and where we are. He knows they were in it....and he knows they are going to break some SEC rivals hearts this season on their way to a bowl game.

7. Butch Jones....WOW! All those freshman and to get that level of effort and no quit...on the road...against a possible National Champion. Able to keep their heads in it and compete with pure discipline...ONE penalty for 10 yards! This staff is doing some HELLA coaching and their team preperation was brilliant. As long as our Oline play develops and gels...Butch will have us ready for some road wins...starting with 2 weeks to plan for some unfinished business with Georgia....we are coming to burn down those hedges...and get SEC win #1!

That UGA secondary is scary bad. I think Worley and the receiving corps eats them alive.

Load the box and make Mason beat us.
