That seems fair. My beef is really with the timeline. GBI took it over and started arresting people within about 48 hours. If it was that easy, somebody should have done it before then.

I think that’s the thing that really made it sensational. The debate seems to have naturally migrated into other areas, but as long as they get a fair trial it’s on par with any other senseless violence, like this, IMO.

the GBI acted "fast" with as much charges as possible to everyone so they can appear "impartial and thorough".

This has always come down to the Grand Jury and who is on it.

Let’s use some common sense. What’s more of a story without bringing race in?

An elderly person being beaten by a fellow patient? This is terribly sad and also a local news story. No reason for national news to get involved.

a guy being murdered and nothing being done about it for several months? This was a local story until the DA did nothing for months and then once the MSM did get involved, they finally acted?

The guy getting his ass beat is a national story because it is on video.

The death of AA became a national story after the video came out.

I don't know why there's a need to rank the stories. But the guy in the nursing home wasn't caught on the video fighting with his assailant or on another video clip trespassing in an area where property crimes had occurred. I'll withhold an opinion because maybe there's more to come about the old man being a grand wizard or something.

I tend to agree Trump should leave this alone. That was part of Obama's problem too. You can't start sticking your foot in your mouth on social issues unless they are a big national story you should make a statement about. Then leave it alone.

Trump was asked about the Arbery incident in a press conference and made a statement.
