ACC Championship Game: #4 FSU vs #14 Louisville (8PM EST, ABC)

This FSU team is not the 10-0 team from three weeks ago before Travis went down. This FSU team is top 20 at best. Top 5 defense with an offense not in the top 100.

CFP Committee’s primary responsibility is to select the four best teams for the playoff. There are six teams right now that are head & shoulders above everyone else: Michigan, Washington, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, & Ohio State. Two of those don’t have a conference championship and will be left out - GA & OSU.

You do know that FSU is a national brand. Right?

This isn’t Cincinnati or TCU.
It’s not the brand name. It’s about the rest of America. I don’t know how anyone could watch the FSU and Louisville game and be excited about having FSU in the playoffs. I know people are going to argue that the backup will be out of concussion protocol, but that ACC championship game was lackluster after a bunch of good games earlier. The only reasons people want FSU is so the SEC is excluded. There is no way you can tell me if you put Washington, FSU, and Michigan in the SEC they will go undefeated.

Depends on the schedule.
FSU, Mich, and Wash might have with UGA and Bama’s schedule…….

Cant see FSU getting in after watching that. If the FSU backup to the backup QB could have shown something, they might could have made a case for why they belong in the playoffs.
Did you see how Bama looked when they went down to their 3rd string QB? They barely beat South Florida.

If we had lost Martin in the SEC championship game in '98, our 12-0 record would still have merited our inclusion in the national championship game.
Yes, but major injuries are a stated factor that the committee evaluates by, just like Wins & Losses.

A factor stated where? If it is one of their criteria, it should be changed, in my opinion. If one of the four playoff teams suffers an injury to a key player in route to a semi-finals victory, should they be replaced by the losing team based on a projection that the losing team would fare better in the final?
