Just like work.. Some players are paid more than others based on performance and worth to the team

Yea. That is what i would do. Any smart coach will abuse the s**** out of this. Not really a fan either.

I think the benefit to the players outweighs any of the drawbacks or concerns that may exist with coaches trying to take advantage of this.
