According to other fan message boards at this moment

You put your foot on their throat. When they look like they want to get up you crush the wind pipe. Run it up!!! Anyone else would do the same to Tennessee.
And they have done it, for years, to Tennessee.

You don’t tell your backups to stop on senior day, battling for a spot in the playoff. You have a defense, you want us to stop scoring then step up.

Besides, if it had been close, then we get to hear all about how we don’t pass the eye test for a playoff team.

I’ll take this any damn time.

Honestly, I'm all about sportsmanship, but those were backups. The backups shouldn't be told not to try just because the game is out of hand. It's pretty valuable for the players and the coaches to have film to study.
Those guys that never get to play wanr to "give my all for Tennessee" just as much as anybody and are excited to be out there n front of a home crowd. It's gonna be hard to keep them reigned in. Plus, everyone is aware we're fighting for a spot in the cfp.

This is such a dumb argument. If you compare same situation to a basketball game, would you want the backups to not shoot threes or expect them to run the shot clock all the way down before shooting? No, you wouldn’t. Those kids in backup roles have busted their ass in practice and deserve every right to go out there and play to their full potential.

Not for me. Do away with the "style points" crap (as they definitely should have long ago) and I'd agree completely. As long as it benefits a team to pile it on in garbage time, you keep it full steam for 60 minutes.
Why? Because you don’t like it? Without “ style” points voters can’t differentiate between teams that dominate and those who just win. When vying for limited spots it is necessary

Also in the immortal words of Spurrier it isn’t UT’s job to stop UT’s offense. That’s MU’s job
