According to Revelations, Could this be true?

I recieved this email today, and wanted to post it on here for discussion. How do you see it?

Oh my God!!! Are you freakin' kidding me?

The whole "Obama is a Muslim" angle is the absolute epitome of ignorance...

1.) He's not a Muslim...if he was the microscope he's been under for the past 20 months would have revealed it

2.) There is nothing wrong with being a Muslim...it's a personnal choice...a choice that is one of the cornerstones of our great country(freedom of religion)

3.) The great majority of Muslims are not terrorists

If you don't want to vote for Obama that is your right as an American citizen

But do it because you don't like his inexperience...or...his stance on foreign policy...or...his proposed tax policy...or...his views on abortion

But to not vote for him because you believe he is a secret Muslim terrorist is the absolute epitome of ignorance

In his post it did not say he was a muslim terrorist. It made the correct assertion that he is of muslim decent (at least a portion anyway).

He may believe that his being of muslim decent is a bad thing, personally I don't and will not defend him on that point. I don't really think it clear one way or the other as far as his personal beliefs about muslims go (at least in this post).

You called his muslim angle "the epitome of ignorance", maybe you should try to read what was posted again before you proclaim others ignorant! KEY WORD HERE "MUSLIM DECENT", not Muslim terrorist!

The microscope he has been under for the past 20 months is the most generous, as it concerns the media, microscope I have seen a Presidential Candidate under.

There is nothing wrong with being a Muslim. There is a lot wrong with shrouding your past in secrecy, though (to include thesis papers) and lying about what little we do know of his past.

3.) The great majority of Muslims are not terrorists
Agreed.

So, if someone does believe that he is a "secret Muslim terrorist", yet is content with his stance on tax policy and abortion, they should vote for him?

Here is the difference between someone who feels strongly against Obama and someone like myself...

Apparently all you got from this article is that the writer is pointing out that Obama is of Muslim decent...

You chose to ignore that he feels profiling Muslims is okay because if they're Muslims there must be a high probablity that they are terrorists(based on the 13 examples he gave of terrorists who were Muslims)...

You chose to ignore that he hints at Obama being the anti-Christ because he is of Muslim decent

You chose to ignore that he refers to electing Obama as the "Award Winning Act of Stupidity of all Time" because he is of Muslim decent

The intent of this article is obvious to anyone who reads it...to incite fear and therefore promote ignorance....

Anyone who posts it in this forum and tries to pretend it is a legit point of view that deserves our attention is promoting that same fear and ignorance...

I've read your posts before....I know you are an intelligent person and I agree with alot of things you say...but for you to argue that he's only pointing out Obama's Muslim decent and pretend there's no other implications in what he is saying is truly ignorant on your part

To your first point:

Agreed, but it has still been intense enough to find out if he is indeed secretly a Muslim

To your second point:

Again I agree, but the focus of this article is Obama's religious background. He implys that because of Obama's Muslim decent(which...if I'm not mistaking...consists of having an absentee biological father who was Muslim) we should believe that he is probably a secret Muslim and based on the writers 13 examples of terrorists who were Muslims we should believe that he could be a terrorist

To your third point:

No...if someone honestly believes that he is a secret Muslim terrorist...terrorist being the key word...they should have their voting rights revoked

I understand your point of view but I happen to take the original poster at face value, he received an e-mail and posted it on this board for discussion and points of view. To claim that he is advocating Obama is a terrorist is a stretch based on the post you quoted.

I laughed at the joke some writer told that he wanted to go to the perjury trial of Libby if Cheney was going to take the stand because he wanted to see the smoke rise when he put his hand on the Bible.

But no one seriously contended that he was Satan.

I would say that these emails claiming Obama might be the Anti-Christ are truly maddening if it weren't for the fact that so many people are buying into it and its really just depressing and a little bit frightening at how people are being influenced by this.

don't be silly. Anyone buying into it was never voting Obama anyway.

That's defintely where we have differed on this and I agree maybe it was a stretch for me to feel that way...I just don't understand the point of dignifying an article like this with any kind of discussion...and so I assumed anyone who would bring it on here was advocating its legitimacy

It truly upsets me that people feel this way about him....and I want to make it clear that I'm not a staunch supporter of Obama and I don't think he's infallable by any means...

But to imply that we should be afraid of him because of a weak connection to a religion labeled as one that promotes terrorism is sickening to me...

Whats even more sickening is the number of people who seem to be buying into that point of view

Probably not many, I would agree. But a few.

Anyway, I'm more worried about some idiot thinking he's saving the world by taking a pot shot at him. When Kerry or Gore ran as the Dem nominee the uber-right mocked them and derided them, but no one claimed they were here as part of Biblical prophesy.

Heaven forbid any come, but pot shots won't be about his religious affiliation.

I tend to agree with the last part of this statement. My mother-in-law who is generally a very smart woman has been receiving these emails and forwarding them to my wife..with comments about how something is fishy..and she just doesn't trust him..obviously from the standpoint of his "muslim" past and that he is a "secret terrorist."

I would say the amount of those that believe he is the anti-christ are greatly outnumbered by those that believe Bush was behind 9-11.

but they're still not voting it IMO. Those are folks justifying their preconceived position with other information.

I agree. We should fear him because of his socialist tendencies and his pacifist rhetoric...

But I guess that's just me.

I too believe there is something "fishy" about Obama. Not because he is of Muslim decent but because of his affiliations with those who are proponents of of ideals that are at odds with the ideals our country was founded on and has fought so hard against.

Do i believe he is a terrorist? No. Do i believe he is the anti-christ? No. Do I believe he has views on policy that are at odds with our American way of life? Very possibly, the problem is there is enough smoke to make me think there might be a fire somewhere.

I don't know, its probably close.

More significant is that this is just being used as a ruse to remind people of the suspicion that Obama is actually Muslim at heart. This has been going on for awhile now -- the suggestion that Obama is a sleeper terrorist.

The McCain campaign for a couple of weeks earlier this month actually went in that direction, but they ended up abandoning it because it was backfiring, or at least just not working.

I gurantee you that the number of people out there who think Obama is really a Muslim in his faith is 1,000 times greater than the number who think Bush masterminded 9/11.

And it is your given right as an American citizen to form that opinion and vote on it accordingly...

But someone who decides who to vote for based on substance like that found in the article posted in this thread should have their voting rights revoked...pure and simple

If you want to start revoking voting rights due to stupidity or lack of education, I guarantee you that every Republican or conservative in this country agrees with you 100%.

Where do I sign up?

Don't forget to revoke voting rights to dead people. It seems that Chicago is full of voting zombies.

I would also put in a provision that in order to vote you must have worked and paid taxes for at least one full year.
