I think you are looking at this the wrong way. If a player can benefit more financially for playing at UT compared to school X, then why not? Of course, that QB would obviously be wanting to come play for the Vols. Not sure of your stance on NIL and players getting paid in the current landscape of college football though.

Nico pulled a no show on the last day and bailed. Anyone we get will have completed their obligations and properly enter the portal. There's a big difference

If Nico had announced “hey I’m entering the portal, goodbye” most of us on here would have been upset and angry but he undoubtedly would be a much more sought after commodity. Basically if he’d done the normal thing it would suck but that’s business

That’s not what he did. He strung UT along, then disrespected his team by not showing up to practice or taking any calls. IMO that’s grounds for kicking off the team portal or no portal.

Basically if we get a QB to transfer in the portal, it might seem devious to the team he leaves behind but it’s also just business.

Nico’s choices reflect badly on him as a person which is why he is unwanted by almost everyone in the country

This is the correct answer and I don't know why people don't see this.

This is why he was kick off'd, not because him and his advisors demanded more money. You can't no show and ghost your coach on the last practice before a huge public event.
