Why do top football recruits go to top football schools? Is that really what you’re asking? This isn’t the mic drop you seem to think it is.

Money. Better coaching. Competition. Prestige. Winning. Exposure. Girls. Etc….

None of those reasons have anything to do with nfl scouts being too dense to examine film.

I agree with all the stuff you stated but you think the talent around a QB wouldn't also be a top consideration for an elite recruit? You think Tua in 2017 wasn't considering the fact Alabama was recruiting a bunch of five star skill position players and offensive lineman along with him when making his decision?

Come on now. Everyone knows top QB recruits care about the WRs and offensive lineman being recruited. In fact many engage in peer recruiting for that reason. That's one of the reasons so many of us thought we would land Tristen Keys. He was supposedly close to Faizon and we've been hearing Faizon has been peer recruiting him.

Top recruits care about money and coaching absolutely. But they also care about who they're teammates will be especially elite QBs. A top QB ain't going to a program if he knows he'll have no talent alongside him on the offensive line and at wide receiver. Because top QBs know their success hinges on the talent around them. And that success will ultimately impact their draft position.
