Dear Mr. Foley,
You were warned ahead of time this could happen. But all in all, there was only one way to prevent this and you know who's fault it is? YOURS AND YOUR TEAM'S. A simple "prove you deserve #2 or even #1" could have prevented this.
I'm sorry but when a school is used to Buzz Ball and not winning and we defeat not just one but TWO #2 teams in a matter of weeks, we deserve to celebrate. We deserve to show our appreciation for the coach and the players. It's a new day in UT basketball. If fans cannot celebrate a win like that, then what the hell is the point of having them in the stands in the first place.
Last time I checked, Gainesville was not too friendly to opposing teams' fans as well. I've seen many verbally and physically harrassed and beaten. But I guess it is OK down in Gainesville to celebrate by beating up the opposition's fans?
Stop being a crybaby and deflecting the fact that your team is not what everyone thinks they are. For your players' sake cry and whine about how they played not how the other teams fans act after the game. And lighten up a little. Next time I'm in Gainesville I expect you to be the Pope and your fans to be the boys and girls choir. We'll see just how fair and equal things work in Gainesville. So wipe the tears from your eyes and get you a stress ball to relieve the pain. Or bend over and take the beating with the belt like a man and move on. If you're still dwelling on that loss, you're a weak and sorry loser. Grow up and move on. You're embarassing your players and your school.
