At the moment Rivals.com rates Sykes as a three-star prospect, but that is subject to change with some talk suggesting he could enter the rankings as a five-star prospect when they're re-adjusted in the near future.

I play against his team tonight. His team played before us last night in a tournament, and he had 18 points with 11 of them in the 4th quarter. He is VERY weak, and has slim to no post presence. He hangs around the top of the key way too much and 10 times more than Chism. He would much rather shoot the ball from 15 feet than drive to the bucket. He has a pretty good shot from 15 feet in and is a very good free throw shooter. I'll give more updates tonight as it is a 6'10 D1 commit Matt Kavanaugh vs. Payne down low

I'm trying to find the quote from our paper that stated that Tennessee recruited him the hardest as well.
