The pass interference when resulted in the Raven's only score was pretty bad. Very little contact, crummy pass. The Ravens' LT has been holding badly on just about every other pass play, and I don't think it's been called yet. The roughing the kicker penalty was beyond awful, obviously, but it's not like it's only going one way.

great post.

It was. Simms commentary about no H2H contact with a receiver and DB was senseless.

I thought that was ridiculous as well. Something about there's no HTH when there's a ball carrier and you're trying to make a tackle. Isn't that about every play?

he tried to turn his shoulder but didn't get it around in time. he didn't lead with his helmet, there's a difference.

no it wasn't.

That was definitely helmet-to-helmet on a defenseless receiver. I've seen it called for way less.

It was way worse than the Eric Smith hit on Anquan Boldin and he was fined and suspended for the hit...

Hmm, for some reason, I'm betting that doesn't happen here...

The super slow-mo confirmed that it was ABSOLUTELY a helmet-to-helmet hit. That is a very scary looking injury and my prayers are with him and his family.

No crap, I saw what happened. He didn't lead with his helmet but it still made contact. I was referring to what Simms said as being ridiculous.

when the receiver is going for the ball and the defender leads with his head it's helmet to helmet. the receiver was running with the ball the defender led with his shoulder, big difference.

See: Boldin, Anquan and Smith, Eric.

It didn't appear to be intentional either.
