I missed that part. He seems really smart - maybe he’s dyslexic and UT has a program that deals with that disability instead of denying those people any opportunity of a higher education.
I’m guessing there’s something there, he just didn’t mention it in this interview.

Interview Said he only had a 5th grade reading level and he got into UT and stayed eligible? I applaud him for working on that but that isn't saying a whole lot about UT and at least academic advisor's etc.

Some people learn by hearing and can become doctors with a “third grade” reading level. Reading level is determined by speed as well as accuracy of obtaining information via reading, not by ability to comprehend the information, so it doesn’t really have much to do with intelligence or aptitude

Don't doubt it as I am more of a visual person. Many folks have not made it through high school or maybe even middle school and done quite well without a college degree etc. The exception and not the rule. I just find it hard to believe he could read and get through the SAT or ACT in a timely manner with 5th grade reading level and get an acceptable score.
I think what he has accomplished in business is admirable.

IIRC he also enrolled mid-season, which means he graduated high school early too.

If you’ve got the paperwork, you can get in. D Rose famously had someone take his ACT for him for instance

Also ranking way up there is Lamonte fouling Purdue’s 3-point shooter. They changed the rule after that not allowing shooters to kick out at defenders and get the foul call. The NCAA also added the 10 second run off rule after a penalty because TN was jobbed by UNC at the end of the Music City Bowl. AND they started enforcing refs standing over the ball after offensive substitutions holding up snaps after Dooley had 15 players on the the field at LSU.

But the worst might have been the biased ref that was an LSU fan that called some BS resulting in a TN loss that gave LSU an SEC title. I’ve forgotten those details. Feb 2019 at LSU? 80-82 loss in OT.
Yeah the Purdue call was probably worse because that was the best team we’ve ever had on the Hill.

If he had a diagnosed reading disability, then there are accommodations provided when taking the ACT such as unlimited time and in some cases it will be given orally. Not saying this happened with Stokes as I don’t know anything about his academics
