This seems topical:

Last national championship: 1998
Ranked No. 16 nationally in the Team Talent Composite for the 2023 season, the Volunteers acquired a solid roster under Josh Heupel. But they have not been at the elite level necessary to navigate a treacherous SEC schedule. That could change in 2024 due to one primary factor — former five-star Nico Iamaleava at quarterback. He was responsible for four touchdowns in his first career start in the Citrus Bowl win over Iowa and last season's sensation at the position, Hendon Hooker, already deemed him "the chosen one" in Knoxville. That's high praise given Hooker's importance to the program and heightened success during his tenure.

Like Penix did at Washington, Iamaleava is the type of talent that makes everyone around him better. He is a dynamic option, the first Heupel's had a quarterback, and gives Tennessee more than a puncher's chance at getting inside the top 10 in 2024 and staying there if he stays healthy. Tennessee doesn't have elite wideout talent around Iamaleava like Washington had this season, but the return of Bru McCoy gives the Vols a true chain-mover on third down and a leader in the room.

I agree with the Penix comparison. Tennessee will have elite wide receivers and elite running backs next year. Nico will most likely be the best QB in the country.

I have to give you credit. You post some crazy predictions, but you were all over Missouri this year.
Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. Make enough silly predictions and one has to come true every now and then.

Wouldn’t it suck if Mizzou or Ole Miss won a national championship in football before us ?

I have a really good feeling that Tennessee will win a Natty in football, basketball, and baseball this year. I’ve thought about it and it just makes a lot of sense. We’ve got the horses everywhere. I believe it would be the first time in history if it were to happen.
Baseball, maybe? Other 2, no.

Oh boy another usual @Nationdom prediction 🙄. Seems like every year you do this crap to set yourself up to talk **** when we don’t meet “your expectations.” This prediction is the dumbest one yet. Even dumber when you said Saban was on the decline about 5-6 years ago.

Let’s break it down a little. Basketball. Are you kidding? We don’t have the team to win it all. Are we good? Yes. Can we make it to an elite 8? Maybe if everyone stays healthy and plays to their potential. Do we have the coaching to get us to the national championship? Nothing that Barnes has done indicates he has what it takes to be a NC winning coach.

Baseball. Now this is very possible. As hard as it is to win a NC in BB and football, a case gouid be made that winning one in baseball is even harder. But I do believe out of the big 3 sports, baseball gives us our best shot at a NC right now. Vitello is a really good coach.

Football. We are just not there yet. We will lose to UGA and Bama again in 2024. I do think Heupel might have the chips to bring us a NC. But until we recruit better, it’s not gonna happen.

Three national titles in one year--when we haven't won a national title in ANYTHING but doubles tennis in, what, 25 years? No, this doesn't make a lot of sense--or any sense--but feel free to dream. How about we win ONE...in anything.

I’m going to say no but have not researched
It hasn’t in all four sports in the same year , but there have been schools knocking at the door before. 2013 Louisville comes to mind. They won the MBB national title, were the national runner up in WBB, won the Sugar Bowl over #3 Florida, and made the College World Series.

I hadn't thought about it or even considered it.......but I came in and read OP's logical, articulate, and evidence ridden post several times and you know what? I AGREE!!!! NATTY'S FOR EVERYONE!!!! DANNY WHITE-4-PREZ!!!!

I'm convinced! I mean, how can you argue against someone having a "really good feeling?" Thinking I should take a mortgage out on the house so I can set up an all time great parlay!

The only flaw I see in your argument: We’re not in the 2024 championship game. It’s Michigan and Washington. If Bama had lost in the finals, we could claim a piece of the title - because that feels like winning.
