I was at the game. I dont think he planned on saying anything about Tennessee until the UT student section on the top level started chanting so loud you could barely hear him. I think he was frustrated and spoke out of anger and walked out immediately after his lame comment. It was like a 1 minute speech. Terrible. I couldn't even understand him.
Pretty funny stuff. The cops came up to the students right after.

Now if "Anchor Down" came from Franklin, and THIS is his replacement...what kind of lame battle cry will they employ now? What exactly is an upside down T anyway...besides an upside down T. Im sure this really fired up the team!

Some of the comments on there was pretty funny. Vandy fans have a major inferiority complex.

I already miss Franklin....as bad as I hated him, he made this pseudo-rivalry fun. Mason is already trying too hard, and it seems forced. Upside down T's on the schedule? who cares? It's what OU does to Texas...

That team pulled one good recruit....And the only reason he's not in the Pac 12 right now is because he is more focused on his fashion line than football.

I would throttle Vandy if i were the head coach of the Vols! Not one starter would come out the entire game.. no matter the score...I would continue to score on every play just to make a statement. Don't ever piss off Tennessee when they are down...yeah..they would hate me in Nashville for sure...Yeah,,, we will see you soon...
