IMO its across the board in most NCAA sports now. Just too much talent available now. Better high school/specialized training available. The portal will get tons of talent going from P5 schools down to "lesser" conferences etc. Anytime I see or hear someone talking about "cupcake teams"...I instantly realize they haven't been following to closely last 10 years or so.It seems like the effects of NIL/Portal are sinking in and there is a lot more parity in college sports in general. I can't remember a time when there was so much movement this early in the year in the top 25 week to week.
for sure I think its more obvious is basketball because of math. Adding or subtracting 1 or 2 players on pretty much any Basketball team can be the difference between a losing record and being top 25. Football and even baseball take a lot more than that.IMO its across the board in most NCAA sports now. Just too much talent available now. Better high school/specialized training available. And not being as locked in mentally. No way Aggies were as focused tonite as they were Sat.
The crowd at Vandy reminded me of some church league crowds when Baptist played the Church of Christ
