AI already knows who the next president will be

I literally called my shot here and said, "he must be trying to play catch up." And a few months later he announced Grok.

It's like you guys have never seen a croney capitalist before
A genius, that is the richest man in the world, that uses GPU's in every company he owns, was playing catch up?

I know you typed it, but you can't actually believe it.

Have you heard of his company Neuralink?

Again, it's not even AI. That's how full of **** he was. He understands the difference. But he used fear-mongering about the dangers to humanity because people like you (and lawmakers) do think it's actually sentient AI.

So yes, the only plausible explanation is that he was behind and needed to catch up....unless you want to say he doesn't understand LLM's.

You think just because he's smart and successful, he's always beating everybody else in every area of tech? He may not even have the best EV battery.

How long before it becomes sentient?

That's the question. But furthermore, how do we proceed once we get done creating a new life form?

Make sure it doesn't hate us and disconnect our most important things off the grid.... ha

While joking, there are moral and, perhaps more importantly, theological questions/debates that will be had.

If (when) man does create a sentient being capable of having self awareness and learning capacity, even if it is silicone based, how will we proceed on a moral or philosophical path? Because such beings will still be taught by man and likely have emotions. Emotions are learned behavior and sci-fi to the side, not every silicone brain is going to be logical and emotionless.

What on earth does a tweet from this month have to do with what was happening 2 years ago (when he was trying to stall other LLM's)?
You said he asked the government to step in because he was behind. He built his AI in 19 days and was hands on.

The reason he went to the government was common sense and to raise the red flags about AI. It can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

What's your beef with him?

As I already explained, it was a couple years back where he asked the government to step in. Talking about what he has the ability to do now with his tech has no bearing on where he was 2 years ago. IDK how to be more clear.

Again, there is a lot to appreciate about Musk, but there is also a lot worthy of scorn. People need to find the middle ground. If you're just a Musk cheerleader or just a Musk hater, then you're doing it wrong.

An opinion I found said maybe 10 years before "mouse-level" consciousness.

For the record, Musk asked for a 6-month break @Orange_Vol1321 , and here we are 1.5 years later with him appearing to have caught up....I think we have the smoking gun, and hopefully we can finally put your doubts to risk. He was asking the government to help him catch up. He loves getting in bed with the government, which is part of my "beef"

Serious question. Why does AI not know how to make hands with five natural looking fingers? They can have surreal levels of accuracy with faces and physiques, but the hands are stuck in 1st gear.

Things are progressing at an exponential pace. I'm not sure that 10 years guys is accurate.

Two years ago, the AI bot/assistants for us peasants was nothing more than a glorified search engine that searched the internet to try and give a complete thought or reply to a question.

Elon first mentioned in April 2019 his Tesla AI supercomputer "DOJO" that would take a year yo build and would be analyzing and training all Teslas moving forward with the FSD (Full Self Driving) plans. Elon/Tesla designed in house along with ex AMD engineer their D1 chip. Elon went this route because he knew NVDIA chips would be hard to purchase and that NVDIA could charge whatever they wanted.

He has definitely been at the front of the AI race. And while he was working on this AI for FSD, I'm guessing he saw the dollar signs for years to come by licensing out his technology to OEM competitors compared to drawing 6 fingers in a picture.

Tesla will be $1000 or more a share again in the blink of an eye one day. Everything they are inventing OEM competitors will want to use including their Optimus robot which citizens will also be able to purchase if you have the bank account for it.

Conference call from Elon back in Summer and the link to his DOJO AI supercomputer.
