Aidoo

Or maybe Edey was a PotY and Aidoo is just a pretty good player who was not built to defend him.
Edey's been impressive this year. I mean yes he got a favorable whistle at Purdue but he's productive in his rookie season and would probably be averaging a double-double if they were playing him more than 20 minutes a game. Memphis has had quite the turnaround season.

ok I will give you that. Seeing that Aidoo sat most of the game should also be a factor. There is a 3 second rule for a reason. Refs gave Edey to much lead way. How many Foul shots did he take in most this game? Edey was given a lot of leadway other bigs do not get. Our most physical player, Awaka, against him fouled out.

You post a big man down in the paint for a campout, physical, don't call fouls equally, and let him shoot 22 FTs of which Purdue only had 11 fouls as a team total. Yea, I have a problem with that.
Aidoo had his game but was totally inconsistent near the end he got better. He is playing well, at the end of this year but he is not consistent.
The POY should have been Knecht. By far the best all around player last year in College BB

He is gone anyway and he was not playing against the POY, he was playing with what should have been the POY

He hasn't made an impact? His per minute stats are pretty good, actually.
His stats are not good. Until the last three games he has done virtually nothing in SEC games. These last three games compound the issue with him. If can do this then he shouldn’t have multiple games in the SEC that he scores less than 10. He had 14 SEC games this year where he didn’t score double digits. Add that to the fact that he is not a great rebounder, which I believe is due to lack of effort, and you have a player that on a.normal night just doesn’t give you much.

His per minute stats are good. Coach just doesn't like him enough to play him more. IDK what's going on because I don't watch Arkansas. I am just saying this is good production for the type of player he is expected to be:

He's hitting close to his career averages or better on basically everything except FT%, and easily the best FG% of his career:

Awaka had issues with DJ Jefferson and Carr. DJ is going to wind up on a registry if he's not careful. Carr was always his guy. There are 2 stories out on DJ/Cam (to a much lesser extent)...one involving the family member of a teammate.

I don't care to spill now that neither is here, but there was some HoyleVol extended family drama with Jefferson and Carr. Lots of "snapping" going on between him and some underage girls in my family. Glad he's gone...he's averaging 4 ppg at Longwood. Sounds like the game matches the person.
From the top rope with that last line.

You nailed it. I've heard alot about his last few games and how he's finally producing, and all that does is prove the points of what so many said about him and what makes him so frustrating.

He looks like he’s finally healthy. He was moving like an old man most of the season after foot surgery in the offseason.

Missed the 1 and 1 free throw that would have put Arkansas up by 4 right before Texas Tech shot that 3 pointer that tied the game with 9 seconds left, sending the game into overtime.

Granted, I mean, it’s not entirely his fault Arkansas blew that 16 point lead with 10 minutes left in the game (Wow did they go cold…they were still even up by 13 with 4:40 left), but it still has to sting.

Awaka is having a nice season at Arizona. He was one of my favorites. Aidoo got a nice paycheck but is no longer a major factor for Arkansas. Felix is the real deal and keeps improving.
He still lives in foul trouble. Both were looking for more money. Barnes had the other big (injured) playing 20+ minutes a game plus Felix. He figured he didnt need both.
