Although Crompton only played one series against Memphis, he looked very good. I can't wait to see what Cutcliffe can do with him. Just look at the effect he's had on Ainge.

Damn. Upon first read of your post I thought that you were trying to say look at the effect that Crompton has had on Ainge. We'll see how good Crompton can be in two years.

We may wish for leak back with Teebow taking the reigns next yr, Bama seemed to have lots of trouble with him just like we did(just from the few replays I saw, which were very few)

Wouldn't those be called highlights? It kind of makes sense that they would be good plays.

No they weren't "highlights" , it was a replay of the game yesterday on CSS but I only caught 10-15 minutes, I what I saw Teebow gave bama fits too.

i watched the entire game, and i would agree with you...Tebow over the left side...ridiculous. Bama couldn't stop him either, and he did exactly the same thing to them as he did to us...though he did throw it once. i want that kid to get leveled just once.

One other thing Bama did that we didn't do...fortunately...they let Leak get off a 45 yard run. How'd that happen????

Don't get me wrong , I'm not saying he's the second coming or anything, I just think he's gonna give people more problems than Chrissy ever has.

I saw that , then Chrissy pranced around like he'd single-handly won the game and it was over. :ermm:

yep...so what did the coaches do...they pulled him and let Tebow score the TD...over the left side.:eek:hmy:

If Leak is so good (and i know he doesn't fit the system they work with), as a senior, you'd think they'd let him play the whole game. I think it says a lot about Urban Meyer and his staff that they aren't letting the Sr. starting qb play the games. i don't like Leak, but he's been there 4 yrs, started all 4 yrs, had two head coaches and 3 OC's. And now they are letting a freshman come in and take his place..and i know it's only in certain situations, and for the future, it's proably a good move by Meyer to do this. But that has to be frustrating to Leak...to just sit there and take it. I wonder how bad that benching of older brother CJ looks now when they won't even leave him in the game on 1st and goal as a 4 yr starter? All i can say is too bad there aren't any ESPN web diaries for him to blast the coaches in anymore.:zeitung_lesen:

Nice Job Urban...way to send a message to your team: "We will be loyal to you in your career as a Gator, as long as a freshman who fits my style better doesn't come along."

And unfortunately, Leak has no one to blame but himself.

At the end of this season, Florida will have a nice record, and go to a good bowl game, but they will have not won an SEC championship in 7 years, and Chris Leak's biggest accomplishment will be outback bowl game victories.

I know it he bounced around like Richard Simmons.....Leak probably got more rushing yards in the play than he ever got in his high school career LOL....He's the slowest QB I've ever seen

I am excited to see how Ainge is going to grow as a QB. Coach Cut has shaped Ainge up in less than a year from a HORRIBLE QB to one of the best in the country. I am also anxious to see what he can do with crompton in the next 2 yrs or so...

If we won the Florida game...or maybe if we win the UGA game this weekend, Ainge could be a legitiment Heisman contender, if we had won the Florida game I most definitely think that you could count him in as one

no, no, no, no, no, no....

no heisman trophy talk here...ainge already lost to UF at home...there are only two marquee games left on the schedule, and he'd have to really light it up to even enter the discussion.

and it's given they've lost to Florida already, there may not be any chance at any sort of championship this season.

the hYPESmen is not nor should it be a concern for TN.

If we beat UGA and Ainge plays like he has in the other games, I think the talking will start. If we like it or not.

i think at this point, a lot of outsiders are expecting us to beat UGA...so unless he really lights it up, i don't know that he gets in the talk about the Heisman. the only game left on our schedule, today, that we will likely be the underdog in is the LSU game. and i don't see him getting 300 yds a game the rest of the season, and no losses, which is what it would probably take for him to even be considered.

Still early to call it, but I think you are right !!! He worries me. Leak never has....Fla-yes....Leak-no

On an aside, Coker is 6th in the league in rushing. Considering he didn't get a carry against 2 teams, Cal and Fl thats good.

Given that we never beat Leak after Meyer became the coach, I don't see how it could get any worse. 0-2 is 0-2.
