Ainge needs the clip baord

My :twocents:

First, I agree that it is nuts to trash Ainge. He is a true sophomore that has chosen to play for UT. He hasn't performed well this year but that's no reason to attack him. Do you trash all the 3rd, 4th, etc. stringers that haven't played well enough? What about the players that couldn't make it? Ainge was thrown into a situation last year that he wasn't ready for. I think he'll eventually be a good QB for the Vols. If not, that's no reason to hate him.

Second, I agree with the comments that it seems to be about fundamentals. Ainge appears to be pressing. He doesn't set properly (many times). He tries to make spectacular plays rather than seeing the big picture of the game. This was also apparent last year. The difference is that he got away with it more last year so it was glossed over. This to me is an issue of settling him down and COACHING him.

I'm tickled pink that you beleive in your statement. However, I have seen Crompton play in N.C. and remember, it's not how far you throw it, it's how you square your shoulders to the line of scrimmage and read the defense. "Bottom Line", DUDE! :matrix:

Arm strength is all I am talking about. I did nothing to compliment Ainge's techniques. Ainge's mechanics are horrible. But, thats fixable. If he is willing!

I might have this wrong but wasn't it Ainge that said he rather come off the bench than start so he could see before hand how things looked on the field.

I'm sorry to post this, but I just thought that some might want to see his arm. I've just been missing seeing him play this year and had the urge to see him so I searched and found these video clips. Please don't condemn me for posting them here. Just thought since his arm strength was questioned...anyway! Hope the link works.

OH NO...do you have to have a subscription? I didn't realize.

I just tried under my "non subscription" name and it still lets me see the videos.
