First, I agree that it is nuts to trash Ainge. He is a true sophomore that has chosen to play for UT. He hasn't performed well this year but that's no reason to attack him. Do you trash all the 3rd, 4th, etc. stringers that haven't played well enough? What about the players that couldn't make it? Ainge was thrown into a situation last year that he wasn't ready for. I think he'll eventually be a good QB for the Vols. If not, that's no reason to hate him.
Second, I agree with the comments that it seems to be about fundamentals. Ainge appears to be pressing. He doesn't set properly (many times). He tries to make spectacular plays rather than seeing the big picture of the game. This was also apparent last year. The difference is that he got away with it more last year so it was glossed over. This to me is an issue of settling him down and COACHING him.
