torn meniscus, been there done that. as long as they don't "repair" it, and him be out 5 months he'll be ok. more than likely they will just snip the torn part off and he'll b back n a wk or 2
The majority of meniscal tears are not suitable for repair and instead the torn piece is removed, known as a menisectomy. The torn portion of the meniscus is cut and sucked out of the joint, leaving behind as much normal meniscal cartilage as possible. The remaining meniscal rim is then rebalanced and contoured to provide a more natural shape.
People may love Crompton for no reason, but do not throw Ainge under the bus. Ainge is legit- we all saw it last year, and he has a wealth of experience that Crompton just doesn't have. That can go a long way in the SEC.

Agreed Ainge is the better option. But lets not get carried away, he ain't all that! The Wrs improved greatly last year, a luxury he won't have this year! Having gone thru the knee repair process twice, this should be a pretty easy fix. They should be able to just scope it and clean up the tear. A couple of weeks will get him back to full strength. Ortho medicine has made huge strides in the past few years. While not a good thing, it's the best possible scenario.
If I had a scanner I could put up some cool pics of mine.
