What energy drink has that in it? I don't drink any energy drinks anyways but I wouldn't think there would be any that would have something like that in there.

Not sure, just what was reported. Something about a new energy drink that was trying to get into the sport as far as sponsorship. there was speculation that it could be the cause.

I believe him a actually. However, he's still an idiot for not knowing what he's putting in his body, especially when his career is dependent on it.

I'm leaning towards his side. Seems like the testing would be a little more specific. It may be, and we're just not getting the whole story. Nascar refuses to tell and all we get is AJ's side.

Seems like if the energy drink was the cause he would be able to get a sample of it and give it to NASCAR for them to test.

He said he was taking everything he was taking or had taken to the lab to have tested to try and figure out what caused the positive test.

Did he take the stuff before the B sample came up positive or afterwards? I guess I am just baffled that he isn't taking every step possible to get this over turned if he truly feels he did nothing wrong. Also it seems as though this story has died in the media. Seems like since the second sample came through positive and they announced he was suspended that was all you heard.

I saw that too. I still don't feel like he is taking all the steps he can take to get something done about this.

Intresting! So the question is now will AJ go through the substance abuse program to get reinstated or will he continue to fight it? I will be intrested to see what course of action he takes.

He is going through with the program. not much he can fight. he took a drug that requires a perscription without one.

True. Didn't really think about it that way. Wonder if he will ever get another shot at driving. I would say someone will give him a shot in Nationwide again.

Think IndyCar would be an option for AJ? I know he has open wheel experience. Might be a way for an Indy team to get a good driver for cheap with all that's gone on with AJ.

He's a thousand times better of an IndyCar driver as he is a stock car driver. If I was anybody not named Penske, Ganassi or Andretti I'd be working to get him cleared ASAP.

Heard today that there is a Rolex team that is trying to get him cleared and when he does they want him in the car. I think it's the same team he drove the 24 hours of Daytona.

He's driven for Michael Shank at various points throughout his career. I think he my be part owner of that team, but I do know they won the 24.

He also owns an IndyCar with Shank too, but I don't think the team has entered it.

Well it would be smart for one of the smaller Indy Car teams to offer him a ride when he gets cleared to race again because they would be getting a steal with AJ. I have a feeling though AJ is going to want to stick with stock car racing in some form. I will be intrested to see what he decides to do and how he goes about "repairing" his image.
