My point was that you could act with common sense/behave like an adult and still get stuck with a power-tripping cop or two...or an entire department that loves drawing attention to itself. I don't hate LEOs either, I just don't put them up on a pedastool. Also, my default move is to give someone the benefit of the doubt.

I can't stand cops that over judge small ordinances. I hope that wasn't what happened. Just a noise complaint that was made into a bigger deal than it shoulda been because an officer abused his power. It happens way too much around college campuses.

plus the only reason you all are making a stink over what I said, is because it involves AJ... now if it was some some scrub, that you never heard of, you all wouldn't care.. and admit it...

Yes but it's usually April, May or June. The spring months in Knoxville provide more opportunity for trouble. Usually after those months the odds of trouble decrease.
This is unusually early in the year. Anyway happy birthday curt!

Let me get this straight, 3 players arrested, guy kicks girl, a player responds may have used too much force in retaliation.

Sheriff department responds. 2nd time, with larger force in anticipation of problems, 3 arrests made, no charges but booked for the moment. We call the KPD racist in the response 2 black men and 1 white guy arrested. Yet it is KPD's fault for answering a second call of which they are now aware that a fight has occurred. Nobody in law enforcement walks into that situation where drinking, violence, and a crowd of 40+, under manned.

No mention of illegal contraband found at scene. Maybe some underage drinking, but unknown at this time.

We have had an extreme overreaction due to speculation by fans on VolNation. Discussion of airport security, constitutional rights, racism, political debate and the legal system regarding this incident. Some on this board must love drama. KPD was doing their job.

I am sure it will all be sorted out in a few days, some of you will lose sleep. Simple assault plain and simple.

If they had not had to go out the second time this would had never happened. After the first warning, they should have shut it down.

I think some people think that the KPD are all bama and Florida fans.. and are just looking for Tennessee players to bust...come on people, wake up..
