Akeem Richmond

Looks like he would be a good pickup. Rivals, however, shows that he's trying to decide between FL, Louisville, MD, NC ST., NC, WAKE, AND TX. Hopefully the report you posted will prove to be true. Surely he knows we need help at the point and would likely see playing time at TN.

I think Daniel West has been loss. So Pearl is looking for relief at pg next year.

I just came from watching Akeem play tonight. He scored 37(29 in the second half). He would be a great pick up for The Vols. He knows how to score, will need a little time to become a PG but knows the game. The thing that hurts his current team, they had 2 kids(probably there next 2 best players, 1 with as much talent as Akeem) get in trouble and suspended and transfered to private schools and had all there size graduate last year. I would love to see him play for the Vols even though I'm not a Vols fan(NC State fan), just because his a local kid.

This is the first I heard about this kid. Seems like he scores a ton but is undersized. I can't find much on the web about tennessee offering him or even talking about him.

I'm interested to hear why you say Craft can't play. Every recruiting service I've seen says he doesn't turn the ball over, ever.
Guys who stand with their back to the defense 30 feet from the basket dribbling rarely turn the ball over. They don't make any plays, either. Jordan Howell didn't turn the ball over. How much help was he?

You'd think the kid just doesn't have much confidence handling the ball up top then. I'd think that would be fixable.

If you want athleticism, take Ramar Smith. As long as he can take care of the ball and distribute he should be worthy of some PT atleast as PG #2.

Everything I've read is that Craft is basically Howell V2. I'd really rather put that scholly somewhere else if its true.

Yeah, put a guy with limited athleticism at the point. That'll really help the defense.

He is supposedly much better defensively. As long as we have a solid 2 PG option behind Selby, and he can hold his own on defense I think he's worth it.

Daniel West is our PG next year. . . He is in school right now and actually in one of my classes. Dont get me wrong he is no genius, but he is decently smart. Accounting isnt exactly a gimme class. I see no reason why he wouldnt be able to play.
