His Dad made him do work on the farm during the summers, and I honestly think it was for his Dad's image. I blame most of Gore's issues on his father, the dude sounded like a Class A prick.

These two had long since lost "the flame". They both have been totally ruined by their success, particularly Al from what I have been told. Al was a country boy with means married to a country girl with means, things haven't been the same since Al went Hollywood.

Al grew up in the Ritz Carlton in DC, but I can see how Hollywood could have changed their marriage

When you enter the city limits of Carthage, a sign notes it is the home of Al Gore, former VP. Funny thing is, he never went to school, or really lived there. Owns a nice farm on the banks of the Caney Fork though.

You are correct. It's a very nice place. Not a very big house but it's nice.

It was the image his father tried hard to instill in him, a southern gentleman with means would have been a much more accurate description. In any case they were both influenced by the Hollywood acceptance they both enjoyed. From what info I have been able to gather from a couple of people they employed during various renovations of their houses over the years the money and wealth they accumulated over the past 10 to 15 years in particular really changed them.

She must have left the tv on at the house while they were away for Memorial Day weekend.

Think of the irony that Bill and Hillary are still together.
