As far as we know. They don’t get timed again unless it’s some 2nd chance combine like he participated in a few years ago. Simeon Rice never ran anything close to 4.5 in pads…he didn’t have to.

Lamar Jackson never tan either lmao. Mike Vick didn't either. 40 is one of the most over rated numbers ever.

No he isn't NPA but just like the 40 time doesn't matter neither does that. Again 40 times don't matter in football like fans believe. The most over rated thing listed on a prospect is 40 time. Very seldom in the game are you running 40 yds straight. Check the last combine and look at the 40 times. The biggest flaw in running a bad 40 is technique and/or forms.
Shuttle is a better measurement. Elite change of direction speed is far superior to a 40 ran in a leotard.

You don't know that to be true. Again 40 doesn't matter on a field. Hell he could've blown by D. Hall with a dbl move when D. Hall bit on a pump fake. Also maybe I forgot to say this 4.3- 4.4 is elite speed 4.5 - 4.6 is good speed so I'm not sure where you get that 4.6 is slow. Then the real true factor is the surface you're running on too.
A forty time can tell you some things, but it isn't an accurate measure of football speed in many cases. This is why football players who didn't run track, train to run the 40 for the combine and pro days. It's easy to fool people with a forty time. It definitely isn't a measure of how good of a player someone is. Do you want a corner that runs a 4.8? Of course not. But a kid that runs a 4.6 during his sophomore year of high school isn't slow by any means. For reference, go find the top 10 forty times in the modern combine (laser timed). Then look at the careers of those 10 players. It might surprise some people that the majority didn't have very good NFL careers.

Exactly great post I've said this to him like 3 or 4 times. 40 times are all about form, surface, and technique. Guys can go out and run a fabulous 40 and be some coleslaw. Ij looked at the past 2 combines and I was like who are these ppl. Then went to Google and was like what a waste of time lmao
