Change of scenery often changes the NARRATIVE. Michigan DL signee’s mom raised hell when her son’s flip from UGA was blamed on Rocker. Said the only reason he had second thoughts was having to tell the coach he wanted to play for. Thought it was odd then and it doesn’t smell any better now. Rocker’s always been legit. Monster player and nothing but good things as a coach until Kirby took over.

Imo it was a coach g type move. Kirby prob just wanted his own guys

Don’t see where it’s been floated that Gillespie cost us recruits or had a poor work ethic tho.
From Smart after the Tray Scott hire: “Looking forward, I’m excited with what Tray’s going to do,” Smart said. “He brings a lot of energy to our team, enthusiasm to the practices. Tray’s a guy that I’ve known for a while now and he does a great job. He’ll continue to develop our young defensive line. Very pleased with what he’s done in the offseason and the energy he’s brought to our conditioning program.”
Thinly veiled but coupled with the crap that drones like GreysonDawg float in other teams message boards, that’s obviously the conventional “truth” they want as accepted. None of that has accompanied Gillespie’s departure imo.

I think he was just saying that like Pruitt, kirby just wanted his own guy. I don't think he was saying anything bad about coach g.
