'24 AL EDGE Jordan Ross (Tennessee)

JORDAN ROSS, EDGE (Tennessee)

Ross lost his first two 1-on-1 reps before turning things on and finishing the day on a high note with a sack and multiple pressures in the 11-on-11 period. The lanky edge player is far from a finished product, but he can win with his get-off and has a few entry-level rush moves already on the menu. -247

3. EDGE Jordan Ross — Tennessee

No pass rusher showed more juice off the edge than Jordan Ross on Day 2 at Under Armour. Ross flashed excellent first step quickness throughout the day. The 6-foot-4.5, 220-pounder continued to look very loose in his movements. The speed and fluidity were on display in 1-on-1’s. While several of his peers opted to bull rush over and over, Ross showed the ability win with speed and moves. We saw the Birmingham (Ala.) Vestavia Hills product beat USC signee Makai Saina with a very nice up and under move. Ross’s twitchy athleticism and change of direction results in a dangerous presence off the edge. The future Volunteer ranks as the No. 38 overall prospect in the On300. – Charles Power ON3
So, does On3 re-rank after these all-star games? It seems obvious from the comments about Ross that they've got him underrated.

+ Through three practices, Tennessee signee Jordan Ross has arguably shown the best combination of twitch, bend and frame among the EDGE prospects on hand. We saw him flash speed-to-power on one rep in 1-on-1s en route to an easy win. Ross would’ve been solidly within the top ten had we seen him take a few more reps. With that said, he continued to show the high-end pass-rushing skill set. -ON3

From Rivals:

If not for McKinley on Team Fire, Ross would be the talk of UA week in the trenches. He has consistently looked like the most complete edge talent in attendance, which is saying a lot in an event headlined by five-stars Williams Nwaneri, Dylan Stewart and others. Ross has as good a frame as those ranked ahead of him, but he has more in his tool box at this stage of his development, supplementing speed to power rushes with inside bounds, strong hands and better bend than expected at 6-foot-5 with that great length.

The Tennessee signee also showcased awareness in working in 11-on-11 settings, able to set the edge and extend, run well linearly and affect the passer with a few tipped balls when he was unable to beat his blocker.

Should Ross continue his push in the UA Game on Wednesday, he’ll be thrust right into the five-star conversation.

What this is saying, and this is just my opinion, is that Rodney Garner can't recruit anymore. Hell maybe he never did. Urban legend type sh!t, you know.

Elite player. I will repeat what I have said before some players ahead of him on depth chart better work really hard this off season or Mr Ross will take their place and just may do it anyway. In CHRIST Alone
