I feel sorry for Golden's situation but what's the deal with him? Maybe I'm missing something but he seems more like a middle tier coach. I've seen his name floating around a lot and just didn't understand why people are so high on him.

Golden isn't a part of any wrong-doings at Miami. He inherited this mess and it is a lot worse than he was led to believe. So I don't blame him for wanting out of Miami.

For me, this is a hire that would have to show me he can win before I'm going to get excited. UTK needs to hire someone who is going to get as many of us as possible excited from Day 1. Additionally, I just don't see how two decent years at Temple out of seven years as a head coach hits the mark for what the Vols need right now.
