'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

Was it Simonton who was saying there was a blue chip QB who might visit this month but didn't want to mention a name? Maybe this is what he was talking about?

You're not the first person to ask that in this thread. I think the answer was yes.

For what it is worth...on TOS Price liked a comment that stated was this the Blue Chipper the mods were keeping quite about taking a visit to UT.

I mean it really doesn't make sense for him to go to Bama besides being with his brother when so many other opportunities to play earlier are available

That and I don't see anyway that a descendent of Bear Bryant is going to sit on the bench either. Would make all the sense in the world for Taulia to come here, blaze his own trail, develop his own legacy, etc... Plus it's not like Knoxville is that far of a drive for his parents anyway.

Especially with Bear Bryant’s grandson in the same class.

From a poster on VQ...

For what it's worth, I have a good friend who coaches at Thompson High School (where Taulia goes) and he told me from the beginning that Taulia does not want to go the same school as Tua. He was shocked when he committed to Alabama and that he felt like it wouldn't stick. Taulia even went to a different high school in Hawaii than Tua so he didn't have to sit behind him and so he could make his own path instead of following behind Tua.

Taulia is a much better QB than Bryant's grandson

I think he’s BETTER, don’t know the “much” part. And before he committed, I posted that competition wouldn’t keep him from picking Bama. I just think being the possible LONE QB in a class that doesn’t include an icon’s kin, might be tempting.
